My first thought was that it's kinda creepy, that bloke having feelings for an old lady! Then again, maybe in the future he saw old photos of her being young & fell in love with that version of her. He knew her life story already. He took a big risk going back in time with a one-way ticket. I'm glad it paid off in the end. I liked it when she told him to forget the future he knows & that they'd make their own future. The best & happiest ending this video could have had.
@EarlOfMaladyCrescent3 жыл бұрын
@@thomasneal9291 I'm not sure what gave you that idea, (about me not listening). If someone's talking to me, I'll listen. Although, if they repeatedly interrupt me, I won't take much notice of what they've got to say! I've no doubt the bloke in this short film listened to the old woman he was caring for. I'd say that's enough to form a close friendship. With such a massive age gap though, thinking of her in a romantic way seems unnatural to me. (That's assuming he hadn't seen her closer to his own age). I know some couples have big age gaps, but there are limits.

Do you know that in italy there's not a real recipe for spaghetti and meatballs? Spaghetti and meatballs don't mix in italian restaurants....but if you are a sicilian (like me) who likes meatball with tomato souce (sugo) you can sometime put them toghether with spaghetti...yes we in our family do that! Ah...and don't eat pasta with beans with cheese on top...not an Italian thing neither!

I guess the one thing that I didn't understand was all of his "quirks" treating her like she was still the elderly lady he knew from the future. I mean, I get that he knew her from the nursing home, but any normal person knows how to adjust their behavior given different scenarios. He knew the woman he was dating wasn't elderly or senile, why would he treat her that way. It just made it seem like he'd never been with any woman ever before in life. He seems to have some real issues that are going to pop up and hinder this relationship.
@BeckVMH4 жыл бұрын
Yep, thought the same. Last exchange was his concern for her dental hygiene. He needs to change gears fast given they’re headed to her apartment for a “sleep over” haha. But, given it’s a short film, the writers deserve a little leeway.
@VictoryAviation4 жыл бұрын
It’s just part of his quirky character. The last interaction was to make light of an otherwise very disturbing situation. It’s the comic relief.
@DelusionalGoldfish4 жыл бұрын
I didn't think of that until you said it. But like yea, and it feels a lot like he loves the old her, and the younger version of her. It's like dating a thirty year old but still treating them like their 10 cause maybe u met them at that age. That just undermines a persons actual self, and it rlly doesn't feel good

Would like to say, this was excellently written, acted and filmed. A lot better than the previous short I just watched, which had the last two elements. Having a coherent plot and idea is an important first step, the next step is the ability to quickly get over one or two concepts in such a short time. You guys nailed it and need to help educate your fellow producers, both new and the big producers in Hollywood. Very well done.
