Eric, you called the anniversay green dial on the FYG GMT a few years back as being the 'one' to have. I have this piece in my collection and when I got it the price was lower than the black dial as folks didn't like the green. Go figure! I actually traded up from a two-tone GMT to this one and I've never looked back. I guess once you go FG there really is no going back. Thanks for the great video content as always. You could make another video with it before it sells: A comparison with your 5-Digit reference 'Coke' GMT, from your 'collection' video, if it's to hand. This 116718LN was the first Rolex sports model and GMT to go to a 6-Digit reference signifying the change to ceramic bezels, as well as a 'Maxi Dial' and 'Supercase' (see below) and other bracelet and movement component upgrades: Cerachrom bezel Parachrom blue balance spring Paraflex shock absorbers Easylink Also (see below) a 'Maxi Dial' with larger indexes and hands filled with Chromalight lume and a 'Supercase' with wide; stubby lugs and sheer case sides. Your Coke required tools to adjust the clasp, with the holes drilled in the clasp side for an adjustable spring bar to be moved to shorten or lengthen tie bracelet. The Easylink tool free adjustment is the best selling point: where the AD takes links or not out of the Oyster bracelet and selects one of 3 Anchorage points at the other end of the clasp, where it attaches to the Oyster links, then you can let the Easylink out, out by 5mm when your wrist swells naturally and snap it back in when it contracts. I had the black dial version briefly, before getting the 116719BLRO 'Pepsi' and the yellow Gold looked better, but walking around with the white Gold doesn't attract any attention, like the yellow Gold does. I would always go for Gold in Rolex sports, as until recently, they were available at list price and were better than paying double for a hot stainless steel model, like the ceramic Daytona 116500LN. This was the 50th Anniversary 1955-2005 GMT and the Smurf you have marked the change from 5 digit to 6 digit ceramic references, but 3 years later in 2008. You could actually do your birth year Submariner, shown in your collection video and Smurf in the same video with your Coke GMT and this 116718LN to show the differences which I forgot to add above, as Maxi Dials; you Americans call the cases 'Maxi' but it's just the dials, brought in on the kermit as a 50th Anniversary of the Submariner 1953-2003 16610LV you have 2 examples of: It just had the first instance of the 'Maxi Dial' with larger indexes and hands; it didn't have the thicker lugs and 'Supercase' debuted in this GMT-Master II in Baselworld 2005 and Smurf 116619LB in Baselworld 2008. Both models signify the first instance in each model line of a major change from 5 to 6 digit reference numbers. They are the equivalent of the 126710BLRO stainless steel 'Pepsi' GMT-Master II from Baselworld 2018 and the new Submariners from September 2020: 126610LN 126619LB Gold is also more anti-tarnish and corrosive than 904L steel. And the GMT-Master II share the Triplock crown, with 3 separate rubber o-ring seals/ waterproof areas, that all the Submariner; Sea-Dweller and Deepsea have. Not sure if the Yacht Master and Yacht Master II have Triplock, they probably do as they are considered 'Luxury' Submariners. Most Rolex just have anTwinlock crown.
