My "office" daily is the Islander ISL-82. 38mm field watch, NH38, 100m water resist, blackout DLC case, sapphire AR crystal, highly legible dial and handset in all lighting conditions with no fauxtina. Yellow second hand on black dial is a personal favorite color combination. Came with leather-back black canvas strap with yellow contrast stitch, swapped for a plain black elastic para-band that won't discolor and deteriorate as obviously with dirt and grime. I work in an automotive repair shop. It's not getting knocked about and abused, but it's not getting babied and taken off while working, either. I'm careful what I do with my hands as it is to prevent injury. Doesn't draw attention to itself in a blue-collar environment, stands up well to daily shop wear, more compact than a G-Shock so less likely to get in the way in tight spaces. Sure, something like a Casio F-105 would have been the "sensible" choice, but I wanted something nicer.

Big fan of the Baumatic. Young professional here too and in the market for my first dress watch. Definitely a candidate!

I'm old and unprofessional. Please do a video showing watches for anti-authoritarian folk like me 🤣

That's the video I'd like to see. The wildest most unprofessional watches that are still high quality. (Not something from a grocery store vending machine)

Mido ocean star was my graduation present some 50+ years ago and still going strong; I don't it wear that much but for special occasions, hope to pass it down to one of my grandsons. Watches are a look into one's past, usually a reminder of special or significant event in our lives.

I don't understand the recommendation for Baume and Mercier when their resale is terrible....

I went with a Hamilton khaki field automatic on the bracelet and it works well in almost any situation.

During my 20's, I sported a Fossil AM4237 for work. Wore it for years, loved it, and absolutely great for the work laboratory environment.

My first watch was the Tag Heuer Formula 1, quartz version. I know a lot of people hate tag heuer, but I love it! I wear it everyday even though I have better watches now, very special watch for me.

No importa que la gente odie a Tag, los dueños de uno lo amamos si los compramos a un buen precio y no al de retail. jaja

I went from a Casio A158 to a Timex Marlin to a Seiko Presage with an open heart and have my sights set on the next tier of watches soon. That Longines Spirit might have to be next on my list but I still have a Hamilton Khaki Field auto and a couple of different Seiko 5's that I want to add first!

Hi Teddy, the blog about the watch brands is awesome. Have you thought about maybe doing a video series of that type? Maybe say 1 video per brand each month or something similar? Love the content!
