Good luck on the 1016 Jory! I purchased one new in 1986 for about $650 (if memory serves). Ordered it with a Jubilee bracelet (mistake - should have gotten the Oyster bracelet and ALSO ordered a Jubilee bracelet, then I would have had both). I gave it to my daughter a few years ago. When she had the bracelet sized the jeweler asked where she got it and when she told him he followed up, "this is a man's watch, don't you have any brothers?" "No" she replied. "Lucky girl," he said! You can have your 1016 itch scratched by Timefactors in various ways without having to sell the remainder of your collection. Just a thought.

I started collecting watches this year and I have spent a total of $350 on watches and straps. I have become OBSSESSED. I started with a Pulsar Solar PX3157X1 for $80 and still love it. Then, bought a couple crappy ones and learned valuable lessons about impulsivity lol. Then, I won an Ebay auction on a Citizen Eco-Drive for $69...not bad. Then, I bought some digital timepieces (an Ironman for $45 and an Illuminator for $22 both are an awesome change of pace. The Illuminator goes good with wearing shorts somehow. Finally, after seeing that Boldr Expedition, I am licking my chops holy s*** that was sexy. D1 Milano Atlas and also the Orient neo70's have pict my interest recently. I've been scouring KZbin every day for months learning about watches. Thank you Time Teller!

Greetings from the Jura, Vallee de Joux region in France where skiing might have been enhanced with some snow. But..2 miles down the road over the border in Switzerland, I discover all these little watch companies set up by Swiss farming families bored with nothing to do in the winter but have a go at making watches. There were the Phillipes and the Pateks, The Audemars, the Piguets, Lecoultres, Jaegars, Vacherons, Constantins and many more. What ever happened to them? - although I believe a few might have got together and done ok.

Watches I want in 2020 are the Christopher Ward Trident MkIII, 40mm, black face and bezel, and an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, the red faced one. On the wish list is an Omega diver, either the SM Pro or a Planet Ocean. For the Omega I would go pre owned if I can't get a good discount from the AD.

Just get Hamilton Khaki aviation H765650 on stainless steel bracelet. 38mm ETA 2824-2 and looks a lot lot the explorer. Who saves for a watch? You either have the income already or it’s a bad financial move.

1016 is the classic Explorer. You can get a nice 80!s for much less than 14k but the sky’s the limit on prices. Another cheaper alternative is the newest 39mm with lumed Arabic numerals. 36mm is the classic size but the 39mm will grow on you especially if you have a larger wrist. Can’t go wrong with a Rolex SS Sport watch

Just bought an Omega Constellation 168.027 (c shape) and Gold King Seiko 44-2000 (2nd gen Of first KS). Unrealistic goal would be the Rolex Explorer 214270. Most likely the rest of the year will be servicing watches, selling, and maybe buying another vintage omega (pie pan or Seamaster 300). I can’t stop myself from wanting more vintage Omega 5xx calibers - they’re that nice !

About that Bulova, not too many folks know, but it is one of the most accurate quartz watches out there! It rivals a GS quartz, if I'm not mistaken, and at a fraction of the price.

On the topic of the new alpinist i have both the black dial and the white with silver numerals variant, i noticed on the white dial that there is a colour difference between the dial and the internal rotating bezel being the dial is cream white and the bezel is pure white and the bezel gives off a very plastic feel to it

In the last 3 months i have bought the Seiko Alpinist Sarb017, a Hamilton Khaki Field and (i know people’ll judge me for this) a Sturmanskie Gagarin limited edition. By the end of 2020 i want to buy a Citizen Eco Drive (probably a small diver) and a Seiko diver SKX013. Oh! Then a friend of mine will bring me a Luch single hand from his trip to Belarus. Then i think i’ll settle for 2020. By 2022 i dream to go to Japan again (my third time) and buy me a Grand Seiko Spring Drive, any i can find new or preowned in good condition, 38mm dial, JDM. But for that i might have to wait a bit longer. In my wishlist for 2021 there’s an Orient Star, a Seagull chrono 1963 (i love the retro look of it even though i know it can be a crap), a Longines Master Collection Moonphase and a Tudor Black Bay 58, but i doubt i’ll have the budget for all these and i think i’ll end up buying more Seikos (the Arita is dope, as well as some enamel dials ones).

Random opinion, but I think this groomed beard looks much better. Just a little tip, you seem to have good density on the cheeks, so do the line a little higher (imagine it going from your earlobe to the side of your mouth), like half an inch higher maybe.

Im still new i only have orient quarts chrono i bought last year in japan and a gold omega from my dad he bought in the 80. For 2020 i would like to get the omega restored and service. I also would like to get my 1st casio a gshock 5600, another orient a kamasu, seiko snkl23 or the sarb033 (probably not on 2020). Those are within my budget its not in luxury dept tho.

Apparently, I will need to buy even more watch cases in 2020. I have gotten more into JDM Casios lately, so I have already filled three 12-slot cases with just Casios. While waiting to see where Citizen is going with their 0100 caliber, I have been looking at Chronomasters. 2020 might be the year I get a pre-owned Campanola. I am also thinking about the Bulova Lunar Pilot and I recently saw another Orient Star I want. This is what happens when one spends too much time viewing KZbin watch videos.
