Great explanation. Nobody does tutorials online better than you, Sir. Having to know and perform all those time zone adjustments really renders this setup more gimmicky than actually useful (imho). Nice to look at, but most people will really never use, I think. Thank you again for your great work 👍

until today, i thought the outer ring with cities on a gmt would be just decorations. now i understand how it works…thank you very much. i was always looking for gmts that displays 3 time zones (e.g. the wise adx). but this watch shows me even 24 time zones at a glance. i became enlightened 🙌🏼😁

This is the reason I prefer a GMT with a bi-directional 24 hour bezel. Much less complicated. Set your GMT hand to actual GMT. Then you just have to know/remember the offset of your city of interest from GMT and move the bezel accordingly. Even better if the bezel has 48 clicks to get those cities that are a half-hour offset.

Excellent explanation and just what I was looking for. Now I might just have to get one of these 😅

A really informative and detailed explanation of a complication most people will never use, it's a little like my Iron Annie Moon-phase interesting and nice to have,

Thanks for that explanation of the Zelos GMT. I just got my first Zelos watch and GMT. My time zone in US is Chicago or -6, should I move the Bezel to the line between New York and Denver? Also the 24 hour hand on the dial, what time is it telling and can you move the hand?

Would have been nice if the places that observed DST were in a different colour or layed out differently. Would be an amazing complication if a watch could track all these summer time changes automatically.

Thanks so much for this clear information! I really was struggling with this. Now, how do you use the GMT part in combination with this?

Gmt is used for tracking second time zone, BUT if you leave it at your time zone, it means you don't have to think and look at the numbers when aligning your home city, you simply align it with the GMT hand and read the other cities 😁

This is the first Miyota that doesn't free spin the rotor at all. Did Zelos put a unidirectional gear on it or perhaps a rubber ratchet type gasket? The movement is still unidirectional auto winding so what gives?

DST really detracts from the usefulness of World Time bezels. It is probably just easier to look at your phone or wear a Casio AE-xxxx World Time watch.

Good tutorial. However, it's easier and faster to pull out the phone to check time zones when this much calculation and mental math is involved. This setup also does not consider places that lie on half hour intervals.
