The best GWX-5600 version is in my opinion the GWX-5600WA witch has positive LCD and white mat finish band with no G-LIDE marks. I have one of these and i love it.

I need to add that GWX-5600WA and his brown negative brother GWX-5600WB was a remake to the not the best looking in my opinion GWX-5600 main series. Botch are insanely perfect. I pay almost twice the price to bring one form USA to Poland. 🤗

there is also the grx 5600 with solar power (no atomic function) with tide and moon functions... i bodysurf most days and always have a tide gshock on my wrist.. currently the round gwx 5700s have taken my fancy.. but i have owned all the other squares at one stage or another..i enjoyed the video very much

Truly excellent job covering the squares in part 1 and 2. I collect squares so I’ve watched your g-shock square videos multiple times! Please keep making them. One thing to make note of is you use the world downfall instead of downside. A downfall is when the watch is a failure and not successful because of a feature, whereas downside would be a negative or con of the watch. Hope you make another video of squares! Thank you.
@WatchGeek6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the clarification, there is another square video coming this Sunday that will cover the historical models from first model until 1995

The DW-D5600P (which you refer to as DW-D5600) is not a line Casio wants to replace regular 5600s, despite possessing a higher quality screen and timer/alarm features. It lacks the distribution, which results in higher prices, competing with their growing models with solar/MB6 even. It lacks the variety of bezels, which makes many of them not "look" like normal 5600s. The "polarizing" GW-5600J (which you refer to as GW-5600) has specialized advantages: larger numerals and no silly 2-letter day display. More serious than the inability to simultaneously display time and both day/date is that these require a different bezel and strap, traits (and parts) shared with the DW-56RT. For some of us, it's a better value than the GW-M5610. And looks better, too.

I think it would be useful if you mentioned which models had the recessed upper left “A” button. Some people want it, some hate it.

Keep up the great work,one of if not the best G channels since fwupow went down the rabbit hole.I will comment howewer on the GW-5600J you mentioned that came out in 2003.that had some great attributes like Ti caseback inscribed with text,THE G,an extra long strap with a bucke inscribed,THE G.I loved the expanded case which gave it more wrist presence.and how many of us plan on needing 6 band,I,m fine with 2.this watch had a bigger impact then you realize.okay,now onto the King(flame suit on)which is ridicoulous in size,you know,Invicta Russian diver size.unless you are Gorilla monsoon or Andre the GIANT you will look like a horses ass in public and 5 years down the road say what the hell was I thinking.
@WatchGeek6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words 😊. I miss fwupow as well, it was one of the first channels I followed 👍. Like I said in the video GW5600J has a cult status and followers, and I was not wrong. It is a polarizing watch and I knew sooner or later someone will flame me 😄👍. The king is ridiculous, but I just got one for my friend and plan on making a review, and I was surprised at how normally sized it is. I guess the new Frogman and Rangeman kind of changed my perception of LARGE as the king seems reasonably sized next to them...weird, I know

Great video, as usual :). Keep them coming. I thought you might be interested in this app for the iPhone, it's called Clock Wave, since I live outside the coverage area for the atomic clock towers, I wasn't able to take advantage of the Multi Band 6 feature of my watch, this app is like magic, I was able to successfully sync my watch in the middle of the day some 4500 KM away from the nearest tower. Maybe you could do a video review comparing it to atomic clock towers :). Thanks again for the video.
