As a long time listener of Mandolin Orange, I can honestly say that I prefer the name Watchhouse. I don't understand this recurring complaint about the "Mandolin Orange" brand. It make no sense, especially when you post it as a comment on a WATCHHOUSE video. You found your way to their new name, so who are these hypothetical listeners that you imagine suddenly believing Mandolin Orange disappeared into the nether. As far as I'm concerned, that which we call a rose by any other name would smell (or sound as the case may be) as sweet. Free yourself from clinging to permanence. Things change. One day they won't be making music under any name, lets just enjoy it for what it is right now.

especially if one considers that the previous name was probably established from two barely adult musicians, now they are so much further on their path, so it does make sense to change it. and eventually it's music that matters. their sound wonderful regardless the name. btw who keeps their nickname they used in highschool in their 40s ? ;)
