When I read the books and the part where Peeta attacks katnis my vision literally blurred and had to take a break from reading. Taking a couple deep breaths and continued on reading. I read the first book for 8hrs straight and watched the movie after.

These movies aren't only really good but I'd say overall they're very good adaptations of the books too, quite impressive to tick both boxes. Obviously there's bits of detail that have to be pruned away but It's pretty damn close. Cato's death and Peta's mental torture is particularly worse in the book than the movie.
