The reason Kreacher was acting differently towards Harry than he did to Hermione is because Sirius not only left Grimauld Place (the former headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix) to Harry in a will but Harry also inherited Kreacher as well. As a result Kreacher is magically bound to obey Harry. Harry never freed Kreacher because Dumbledore asked Harry not to due to Kreacher knowing way to much about The Order of the Phoenix secret group. When Harry found out about Regelus Black being R.A.B Kreacher told Harry about how Regelus use to be a Deatheater during the first war. But one day Regelus found out that Voldemort was using his favorite house elf to experiment on when he was creating the evil magical defenses in the cave where the Slytherin locket was originally located. When Kreacher told Harry about how he was tortured by Voldemort and how Regelus sacrifice himself to save Kreacher, Harry felt sorry for Kreacher to the point that he gifted Kreacher the fake Slytherin locket that use to belong to Regelus. From that moment on Kreacher changed his attitude not only towards Harry but he began to be kind to Hermione and Ron as well. 📿🪄

There is a deleted scene right at the beginning, where Dudley has his redemption arc completed by shaking Harry’s hand and telling him, that he never thought harry was a waste of space. They go separate ways on good terms. It’s a fcking warcrime they cut this scene, because it completes Dudley’s character development. Aunt petunia also tells harry, that he didn’t just lost a mother that night. She also lost a sister. She was projecting her grief onto harry and she probably realized it was utterly unfair.

The book scene after Ron stabbed the locket was so sweet. He cried silent and Harry comforted him by telling him Hermione was always a sis, and he was sure she thought the same about him, and that he thought Ron knew that. He even admitted most evenings he and Hermione didn't even talk at all. And that she cried every night for at least a week, probably longer, but she tried to hide it. And then Harry felt how much Ron's departure costed them. Ron was always kind of the glue in the trio- in spite of letting his insecurities get the better of him now and again. 🙄🤷🏼♀️😛

One of my favourite quotes, from the books, when Harry visits his parents' graves: "But they were not living, thought Harry: They were gone. The empty words could not disguise the fact that his parents' moldering remains lay beneath snow and stone, indifferent, unknowing. And tears came before he could stop them, boiling hot then instantly freezing on his face, and what was the point in wiping them off or pretending? He let them fall, his lips pressed hard together, looking down at the thick snow hiding from his eyes the place where the last of Lily and James lay, bones now, surely, or dust, not knowing or caring that their living son stood so near, his heart still beating, alive because of their sacrifice and close to wishing, at this moment, that he was sleeping under the snow with them."

@muxi954110 ай бұрын
I dont think the person would never be the same because they used it (they might be different, but its not because of the spell itself, just maybe because they killed someone), they are not evil for using it. The unforgivable curses are unforgivable cause there's absolutely no way in which those curses are used that isn't illegal. Avada Kedavra's intention is always to kill someone, and that's always, in every circumstance, illegal. Using another spell with the intention of killing someone is illegal also, but in that case it's the bad usage of the spell that is illegal, not the spell itself, which has other non-illegal uses.

In the books, Peter/Wormtail, actually does have a moment in which he hesitates because Harry did technically spare his life when Sirius wanted to kill him. In that moment of loyalty? he paused and was then promptly strangled to death by the silver hand Voldemort gave him. Voldemort knew Peter was more of a coward than he was evil and didn't trust him. -"Going with Hagrid is the most suspicious." In the books, it's explained that Voldemort only thinks in terms of Magical power, and so doesn't view Hagrid as much of a threat. Therefore, he assumes that the most powerful wizard will be protecting Harry. -"Don't take them to their house again." In the books, it's explained that they put a redonkulus amount of magical protection around the Weasley's house. It took a while for the bad guys to pierce it, and some people thought they couldn't. -"Why are they having a wedding in the middle of the most epic wizard war ever?" Again, books explain it. It's a show of defiance. We aren't going to end all happiness just because Voldemort didn't want them to. -Fun story: Umbridge isn't actually part of Voldemort's circle, she's not even a death eater. She's just an opportunist who tried to get the highest position of authority possible. -You are going to hate this: Splinched is defined in the books. Basically it's possible to mess up while aparating (teleporting). Aparating in rapid succession with four and then three people with you is, like, stupid hard, so Ron got hurt in the second apparation. Essentially, not all of him teleported along. -The Locket is like the one ring in lord of the rings, it seeks to corrupt you because it has a piece of Voldemort in it. The more you fight it the harder it makes it for you. That's why Umbridge was fine wearing it, she just gave into the evil, which really wasn't a change for her. -Again, books, Ron wanted to come back as soon as he left, but Hermione's 'campsite protection spells' prevented him from finding the campsites again. -Again, from last time, Killing people out of malice in the Harry Potter Universe rips up your soul, which is why none of the good guys do it.

The reason why Ron left is because of the locket it was changing him, it was messing with his head and basically was making him jealous. It affected him more and so that's why he left but as soon as he left and he took that locket off he started feeling so much better and he immediately wanted to go back and couldn't, because of Hermione charms that she put up for protection. The reason why also that it affected him more is because he is the youngest son in his entire family everyone Compares him to his brothers, then he's Harry's best friend and everyone wants to get next to harry. In his head he feels as though he could be easily replaced at times.
@NoelleMar10 ай бұрын
I thought it was also because of his injury draining his spirit?
@VonOutlaw10 ай бұрын
@NoelleMar from what I can remember that's not the case, if you remember from the first film and book when Ron looks into the mirror of erised said he sees himself as the Quidditch Champion the cup holder, even got the house cup he was head boy. So he was always in the backseat so to speak, even his own mother basically forgot about him from time to time it seemed like. The Molly Weasley is the best I still will say, but with that many kids and then she always wanted a daughter so when she finally had a girl and it was right after Ron you can see why she would be focusing more on Genny than Ron

@beepboop4833 no I think the pocket still would have done the same thing, but I am there with you because, they could have stuck it in Hermione bag right. I think if they put it in Hermione bag it wouldn't have affected them as much if at all. That was one of JK Rowling plot issues in her book.

Remember, everything mentioned in the films/books have a purpose. The deathly hallows is from a children’s book so to majority of the wizard world do not believe these objects are real. Brandon be easy in Ron. From Harry’s and Hermiones prospective Ron deserted them but as soon as he left the tent he wanted to go back but due to the protective enchantment he couldn’t find his way back to them. And he never went home. He was basically a hobo. Until Hermione finally said his name and the deluminator activated so he could find them. He was out there on his own fighting and hiding.
@marshallpeters717410 ай бұрын
Ron didn't go home, because he knew how his family would react if they knew he deserted his friends. He did go to his brother's place, though. Bill wasn't happy about Ron's desertion, but he understood and let him stay.
@Yatogami592910 ай бұрын
Dumbledore knew Ron would struggle the most with living in the woods on their own (without having his mom’s home cooked meals for example). That’s why he was left with the deluminator. Essentially, Dumbledore knew Ron was the weak link. Book Ron is better than movie Ron but still FAR FAR from my favorite character.
@edpotter117010 ай бұрын
@@Yatogami5929 saying he's a weak link isn't right. he just has so much more to lose compared to Harry and Hermione. His entire family members are involved in the war. It's like a young soldier deciding to retire early to stay with his family, you don't call him weak. Dumbledore knew that Ron would hesitate, but also knew he'd choose his friends at the end so he gave the deluminator to show him the way to rejoin them. Ron isn't my favorite character either but he definitely is the most relatable character. All of his decision-makings including bad choices have reasons that make you go "damn he's dumb...but I'd probably do the same tho if I were in his position.."
@Yatogami592910 ай бұрын
True. Weak isn’t the right word, it’s more like he can’t keep his promises, like he’s a bit flaky, but he comes through in the end. And about being a soldier, once you sign up, you sign up. There is no going back. Soldiers have to stay for the tough times & actually HAS THEIR TEAMS’ BACK. The thing that bothers me about Ron is that he acts self-centered. Harry sees the Weasleys as his family, yet Ron acts like he’ll be more hurt, like losing them won’t hurt Harry just as much. I mean Harry sees Molly as a mother figure basically. (And of course in love with Ginny) Ron doesn’t stop to think about how this war affects everyone not just him. Sure you didn’t know what you signed up for, and it’s frustrating to go on so little info, but why are you getting angry at Harry?? What does that solve? Why bring unnecessary division in the team? It’s the way he handled it, the way he bailed on them that makes him so unlikeable. Hermione had every right to be pissed.
@Yatogami592910 ай бұрын
Also, I’d never abandon my friends. Especially when I know evil is after them. That’s when they NEED ME EVEN MORE. I would never say to them “I’ve got your back.” Only to bail later. When you make promises/commitments you have to own them. So no, not a relatable character.

Yeah, the movies gave a lot of Ron’s good moments to Hermione, so it creates an awkward imbalance where Hermione seems a lot more of a main character and Ron more like a third wheel.
@NoelleMar10 ай бұрын
Yes, though Hermione still isn’t the main character, she’s just the helper who seems like she should be the main character but isn’t because she’s a girl lol. So her character has to only focus on others. It diminishes her character as well. Whatever the reasoning, to me it very much shows how hard it is for Hollywood, or particularly men, since they wrote and directed these movies, to allow a female character to be flawed, at least in a way that isn’t completely stereotypical.
@AdamNisbett10 ай бұрын
@@NoelleMar I feel like it has more to do with the people making the movie just liking Hermione better than all the other characters and so inflating her part with as many of the good lines as they could and pushing down other roles whenever they compete with hers. And in the outfits for the dance in the Goblet of Fire they reduced the Pavel twins dresses to cheap garish outfits so as to make Hermione’s seem more stand out.

The koolaid Dumbledore had Harry force him to drink was a potion that made him relive all his worst memories; it was emotionally, mentally and physially taxing. One particularly memory we are almost certain he relived was that of his sister Ariana's passing which he felt personally responsible and guilty for until the end. It is often thought that Dumbledore actually sees his sister in the Mirror of Erised in Sorcerer's Stone. Also Harry along with the Order convinced the Dursely's to move because once Harry came of wizard age at 17 the spell that protected him would be lifted and they would be in danger of being interrogated and/or killed regarding Harry's whereabouts.

I understand the reaction to Ron but I hope this helps:❤ To not make it so long, I will put it as simple as I can! The Horcruxes are just pure evil with pieces of Voldemort soul in it. The necklace affects the person that it is wearing, which is why Harry got an attitude. However, UMBRIDGE was not affected because she was already corrupt and has a dark soul/heart. Harry was also affected, but not as much because even though he’s a good person he has still gone through a lot of terrible things that have shaped him. However, Ron is someone with so much love and compassion for others. Despite how poor he is, he is always the first one to offer help, his home, his family to others and stands up for Hermione. Overall, he is the most pure hearted from all of them, so the impact of it was a lot stronger! I hope that makes sense.

“Mundane fungus” That’s a good catch. I always figured Mundungus’ name was kind of a triple play on words: “Mundane” (of the earth or earthly matters); dung; and fungus. Think of how dung and fungus function for the earth; their role isn’t pretty, in fact can be downright nasty, yet is absolutely vital. To me, that kind of sums up Mundungus’ character and role in the books, and justifies his membership in the Order of the Phoenix (his debt/loyalty to Dumbledore notwithstanding).

Mundungus is a real, though obsolete, English word. A loan word based on Spanish mondongo >> modejo.
