Watching **KUNG FU PANDA 4** For The First Time & LOVING IT! (Movie Reaction)

This film definitely has it's problems: *Why does Po need to retire in his prime? *Oogway chose specifically Po for a reason, you can't just give another the title. *Shifu's out of character. *The Chameleon does nothing threatening and her motive makes no sense when you remember Mantis exists. *Po doesn't really make any progress as a spiritual leader, so the movie's main theme goes ot the window. *And the returning villains they marketed so hard were either underutilized or barely in the film at all. Overall, it's fine if you just want more Po and some kung fu action, but it's the weakest of the franchise by far. At least Jack Black singing "Baby, One More Time" in the credits is a bop.

I’ve been working at the Regal theater for a year and I’ve always loved this franchise. But I felt that I don’t want to be tricked by its advertisement and its writing quality got downgraded. The only movie that I saw on March that was totally worth to wait was Dune Part 2 and it was spectacular!

To be fair, Oogway did say to him in the previous movie that he chose someone to be his worthy successor and that was to take his place as the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace as it was seen here. Granted, we have Shifu since he was his last student who, by far, was the greatest he ever had in terms of following his philosophical footsteps but then again, at his age, there’s no way that he’ll remain long enough to fulfill that role. Plus, Shifu also wasn’t there to witness everything that has happened since they left, especially when Zhen used the Staff of Wisdom to overpower the Chameleon, so in his mind, she’s the least qualified person to be the next Dragon Warrior. Po has found someone who can teach them to unlock their full potential so I’m sure this is his first step of becoming a Spiritual Leader since that doesn’t happen overnight. The one thing I can agree is that yes, Tai Lung was the only one who put up a fight before having his power taken away because it’s easier for her to snatch their abilities with little resistance as soon they appear on the door. Overall, this film exceeded my expectations because I too thought it was going to be a cash grab but it turned out alright.

It was confirmed that he was actually meditating in the spirit realm, his redemption just needed to be developed more and it would have been if Mike Mitchell wasn't the director, it should have been Stephanie Ma Stine she even wanted his redemption to be done right and even wanted him to reunite with Shifu and saying goodbye to him, that would have been the perfect redemption for him, she also wanted the film to be deep and emotional like the other two movies.

Something I love about this film that I haven't heard anyone talk about is the subtle detail of all the pandas having migrated to the Valley of Peace. Mr. Ping and Li Shan are just as lovable as ever. Zhen is perfectly likable and I definitely think she and Po shared a decent chemistry. Plus her design is frigging adorable! The Chameleon may not have been the best villain but she was still threatening (and had spectacular animation). It's okay to like this film in spite of it's flaws. There are good things about it too. Honestly, people made this film sound worse than it actually was.

I also literally bawled my yes out at the " No one is interested in your feelings" scene. it gets a lot of hate but i honestly do love it a lot I love Zhen and The Chameleon but I wish her backstory and motivation was altered to be more tragic.

I agree. I really love Zhen! And I thought the Chameleon was very fascinating villain. But she's not the best female villain in the KFP franchise: that title goes to Veruca Dumont from KFP: The Dragon Knight in my opinion.

The bull in a China shop phrase actually isn't true! Mythbusters tried testing out a bunch of metaphors to see if they weren't true, and the scene in this movie is EXACTLY what the bulls actually did! No charging through!

Yup! Despite the absence of the Furious 5, lack of depth to the chameleon, etc, it made up for it with A+ action scenes, good story, and even better and realistic message about moving on from one chapter in your life to the next(which I can relate). Batfleck from dceu said something about weeds and pulling one out and another growing in its place, and Po passing the torch to Zhen is a lot like that. Overall, despite the clear mixture of pros and cons, I, too, think the former outweighs the latter.

Crazy how in spite of all the hate this film gets, you somehow enjoyed it all. Also the reason why the 5, Kai, and Shen don't talk is because they were added in very last minute. This movie had a troubled production, with the co-director, who had ideas that felt more faithful to the franchise, being dismissed by the actual director and the team. Just...wow.

I didn't expect it to be very good bc it's the 4th movie in a kids franchise and I'm out of the target demographic now, but one thing that drives me nuts is when movies treat the viewer like they're dumb. I know there needs to be some exposition and some of these lines would be left out if kids didn't need some things explained, but you don't need to explain so much. And they really overdid it with the comedy to the point that it just isn't funny. Which really sucks bc Jack Black is hilarious and to have him as a main character and be so dumbed down like this is so upsetting to me

Anyone else realize that Po talks about a fire breathing crocodile that he fought and later on in the movie we see that same crocodile as one of the spirits from The Spirit Realm that was trapped in one of the cages by Chameleon and had his Kung fu taken away, which implies that when Po fought him, he literally killed him by sending him to The Spirit Realm. Dang, I guess that Zhen was lucky that Po didn’t send her to The Spirit Realm too when he fought her.

Didn't expect a Kung Fu Panda 4 reaction this fast! Though out of the three movies, it is by far the weakest one, and I had a feeling it would be when I first saw the trailer. But that doesn't make it a bad film. It definitely has a lot of what made the past installments really good, but there's also some things missing. Thankfully, there is more than enough here that makes this one worth watching at least once.

They don't understand the chameleon 😢 they are saying that she's only small there are also kung fu master that is small like mantis but mantis was trained by master shifu in the valley of peace there's no kungfu training hall in valley of peace unlike in the juniver city, in the juniver city she was underestimate because she was a woman a chameleon that is small and was turn away in every training hall everyone laugh at her because they think she isn't capable of kungfu all she just want is to be respect and wanted to learn kung fu like others but she was turn away she was swallowed by pride and anger and that turn her evil and learn sorcery instead she use her shapeshifting powers to scare people so that they would fear her eventually she became an empress of the city and made it corrupt juniver city became a city full of crooks and criminal i feel her pain 😞😞 most womans are underestimate because they are women and others think women isn't capable of fighting and being strong like mens 😞😞
