My interpretation of the ending is this: when the devil came out of Lilly at the end, he possessed Jack and forced him into a nightmarish realm where he had to relive all of his worst memories. Lilly said that being possessed felt sort of like a dream, and the end sequence really feels like a nightmare. Then in the nightmare, he had to kill his own wife to put her out of her misery, only to wake up and realise that he stabbed Lilly instead. With the proof of the devil existing, I can only assume that when Jack Delroy dies, he will be taken back to that nightmarish realm to host the show for eternity. Cannot get behind the over hyped thing at all, I thought it was under hyped to be honest. I fucking adored every bit of it. Glad you still liked it though! I’m from Victoria too!

Definitely overhyped. Couldn’t stick to its premise, wasn’t scary and the ending was mostly funny
@GetFramed
@GetFramed 4 ай бұрын
@@ExpertContrarian yeah, well, that’s just like, your opinion man. Jk but I feel like hype impacting a film is super subjective. At least when I saw it it wasn’t nearly as big as it is now, so maybe if I saw it for the first time today I’d feel a bit differently, but I doubt it. For all the reasons in my first comment, I found it tremendously scary. I understand it hasn’t worked for everyone, but in a time of unoriginal horror movies like Night Swim and Exorcist Believer, I love how different this one is.
@ExpertContrarian
@ExpertContrarian 4 ай бұрын
@@GetFramed I don’t think it’s subjective at all. Seems pretty objective that seeing other peoples responses before consuming something can definitely affect your feelings towards it. Something being different does not make it praiseworthy for me
@GetFramed
@GetFramed 4 ай бұрын
@@ExpertContrarian I phrased it wrong. I think it’s subjective on how someone will respond to it. It depends on the specific person. I watched Abigail the other day and felt let down because the hype was so big, but some people wouldn’t be affected by the hype at all. It completely depends on the person. Also, I do think that originality and uniqueness should be praised and celebrated. Whether it works or not, it’s always great to see new ideas being explored, especially in a time where a lot of films (big films specifically) are part of and already existing IP.

yeah, or the fact they missed the three other times she showed up before that. Once in the mirror backstage after the psychic was done, once at some point in the small clamshell mirror on the coffee table in front of the chairs, and then the short flash on the back of Lilly's head during the possession, tho in context he at least caught that one.

Hello arch nemesis Pugga lugga ding dong 😂 Well, it took me two months, but here I am, watching you react to Late Night With The Devil. It’s actually come to this. Oh how the mighty have fallen. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Honestly though? I’m mainly here because zzavid has been MIA and not posted in an agonizingly long time due to…who the hell knows??? 🤷🏼‍♀️ But more importantly, I’m in the throes of zzavid withdrawl. So at this point it’s either this, or for the thousandth time resume watching goats head butting people and knocking them over (which I swear is highly addictive). I love them so much. 😂 But when I started to wake myself up at night because I’m ramming my head into my wife in our sleep (just like the good little Aries that I am 🐏), we both decided that a break from the goats just might be a good idea 😂 Because I somewhat liked this movie, this will now become the first pugga (your full alias is way too long to keep writing btw🙄😂) video I’ve ever watched. And if the devil gets his due, it will be the last 😂 I have no idea exactly what that means but it sounded cool in my head. Sincerely, The one lesbian who definitely DOES NOT hate you 😂 Edit: My all time favorite late night host? Well that’s easy. Mr. Craig Ferguson (and Geoff of course 😂). There’s never been another on late night like CF. And there likely never will be again. He is one of a kind. I miss that show to this day. 🖤

I think the problem with AI images is that they're "stolen", because AI need to learn the art style from someone else's works first. That & I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to take a mile if you give an inch. Meaning it started with a few AI images then suddenly we get an AI movie. Although we might already have half of an AI movie with Wish, I'm almost convinced the script & lyrics are AI generated. P. S. It's nice to see Dalmastchian in a lead role, I've only ever seen him in support roles before.

While I was vaguely curious about this film, I'd heard more about the ai stuff over the actual plot. I don't think I would have looked for anything about it had you not watched it honestly. But, I was sitting here trying to figure out just what this was reminding me of and it's suddenly clicked. I don't know if you've ever watched it (I don't even know if it's watchable. I know it was banned by the BBC for a long while; might still be for all I know) but in the 90s in the UK there was a tv movie from the BBC (though a lot of people missed that it wasn't real. By all accounts there was a movie on one of the other channels at the time so a fair few missed the start of it) called Ghostwatch for one Halloween. It had Michael Parkinson in it (who was a popular late night tv show host over here, along with other presenters from the time) so it felt like a legitimate show. From what I've heard, it freaked a ton of people out and according to the IMDB page for it, the British Medical Journal cited that it caused PTSD in kids at the time which is... weird. I don't think it was anywhere near as gory as this (I think I've only ever watched it the once over a decade ago and only small snippets since so my memory is hazy) but yeah. Still giving me that similar vibes. Genuinely recommend it if you get the opportunity to watch Ghostwatch. Anyway. I hope you're well and thank you for reacting to this!

I actually wanted to point a few things out that seemed to confuse you and may change ur opinion on it in some way (not guaranteed but just thought I’d explain a lil lol); first off, when u mentioned the curse word being bleeped the second time and not the first, that’s a very intentional move. If u remember the context, this is basically a tape recording of “The greatest late night episode of all time” (more on that in a bit); therefore, it was recorded live. On physical tape. So if someone were to hypothetically go off script and curse, the producers most likely wouldn’t be able to catch it in time to censor it, as is with every other late night talk show even today. Another thing I wanted to mention before the main point is that the end is basically a retelling of what happened at The Grove from Jack’s perspective, although mostly metaphorically. At the end, he is suddenly awoken from a sort of trance the demon put him in, and realizes that he didn’t kill his dying wife out of mercy; instead, he was tricked into killing the girl, and in turn, releasing this demon into the wild. Now the main point I wanted to bring up, which I’ve seen mentioned a couple times already, is that the movie straight up tells us that the rich and powerful go to this secret camp (and supposedly ritualistic to start with), and if u put two and two together, it’s implying that the reason they’re so rich and powerful is because of the cult, in which they sacrifice children to this deity. When the movie kicks off, Jack is shown to be very rating-hungry, wanting to be the best late night talk show on television. Well, in a sense, he did; he sacrificed his wife and his soul, in turn, he got the most popular late night television episode to date. For me personally, I think this ending is absolutely perfect, I don’t see any other end that would fit better! But obviously, everyone has their own opinion, and that’s completely okay. Just preference, I just thought I would maybe help explain a little more as to why it was hyped up lol

It kept me guessing throughout but I was left surprised the whole time. I do think you would like it, it was really creative. And for Late Night with the Devil the only "hype" I heard was just about the AI controversy. But I heard that the people who did watch say that it was good atmospherically, but no specifics.

One of the first things Lily says to him is, "I think you're gonna be very famous soon." We're left with him in his studio surrounded by dead bodies after he's stabbed Lily. He made a deal for fame, and he got it, but he's a different kind of famous than he expected. I know you thought it would have been better if he was trapped in a loop in hell, but I think it was supposed to be more of a Monkey's Paw "be careful what you wish for" trick.

Wow! Puggas newest reaction EVER! Fav Late night Host... ELVIRA (not a talk show sorry) So I enjoyed the movie. I usually keep expectations low but I try to see most horror movies that come out. The hype never really got to me. But I did stay away from commercials and reviews until I saw the movie myself this past Saturday.
