The Upper Moon 6 Fight(Tanjiro, Tengen, Zenitsu & Inosuke vs Gyutaro & Daki) is still to this day THE best fight in the entire show. That fight had you out your seat for just about every moment, and didn’t rest at all. Iconic.

The reason that fight is still the best isn’t even bcuz of the animation. It’s because of tension, and the sense of despair. At the start of that episode every non manga reading viewer said to themselves: “I don’t see a way out”. I genuinely thought the only solution would be for another hashira to show up. Which would’ve been terrible obviously. Tengen saving Tanjiro at the last possible second might never change as my favorite moment in the whole series. I didn’t read the manga, and I don’t sit there and make predictions about what may be an obvious plot point like yeah of course Tengen wasn’t going to die off screen. Being fully absorbed into those scenes up til his return, I’ve never seen anything more truly deserved of being called epic

@@NobleVagabond2552 FACTS. Demon Slayer fights have ALWAYS had that high tension of "How in the world do they win?!" feeling, but this one was by far the craziest, with the heroes taking massive blows despite pushing forward. And even AFTER they win, there was STILL a twist to it!!!

Actually upon further thought, my favorite demon slayer moment has to be a Tanjiro moment bcuz he’s my favorite character, Tengen still favorite hashira I think. But Tanjiro vs LM1 on top the train where LM1 mentions his dad and a literal shockwave bursts out from Tanjiro - then the reveal that he’s slicing his neck every time that he has to. How’s that for resolve Giyuu and Urokodaki (aka Tanjiro developed as a character). That or Tanjiro vs Daki when he shares the same message as Yorrichi and then goes into the craziest unblinking focus mode with his blade on fire and that epic yet calm and controlled ost playing. Damn I love this show way too much lol

yep. i cant stress it enought. in that fight they full on BRAWLING with each other. no breather, no talking in between. just fighting in the moment and swinging the hell out of those weapons. it looked like they Tengen and Gyutaro had a beef for so long

It’s an amazing moment, at that time it set the bar, but I’m truly glad that the bar has been raised multiple times beyond that, in terms of animation and emotional weight even. “Never give up” had the craziest tension and sense of despair and hopelessness. That fight is still #1 as we sit here today pre trilogy, and it’s not just bcuz of animation

55:00 A bit of clarification! Zenitsu's *Godlike Speed* move is an *instant* attack that slows down in speed dramatically short after, you can see that very clearly in the first second it almost cuts her neck. And after some time you can no longer see the "speed force" stretched environment you saw when he first charged. That is why Inosuke could catch up with Zenitsu, the move was already consumed. Also, he did the move twice, the first time to get out of the rubble.

For me the best fight has been Akaza vs Rengoku so far, for the simple reason of the surprise factor that a hashira died and that it was the first time that a superior moon appeared making that contrast of power difference in a battle to the death in 1 vs 1, well at the manga reader level, the infinite castle is going to be crazy that will surpass everything we just saw

why everyone overrates rengoku that much? Even that fight itself was mid, rengoku was always losing and barely keeping up, production wise its great but many others were better. People only give the fight a top cuz they like rengoku, who is extremely basic character, with basic "Im a good, straightforward guy and I like to help people!" that is it, that is all there is to his character. He is as bad as tanjiro.

Rengoku is a static character, as opposed to a dynamic one. Meaning he’s not meant to change. He changes those around him. If people overrate Rengoku bcuz of the animation then I say people underrate him bcuz they don’t see what he’s supposed to represent. This show isn’t about plot it’s about theme. Rengoku is the only DS whose climax fight isn’t after they weren’t good enough and let other people die. Tengen, Muichiro, Mitsuri. They all failed and let other people die. Rengoku is also literally the flame hashira, who dies via puncture of his solar plexus, the stomach (source of energy in the body), the fire chakra (the embodiment of willpower spiritually). After he dies his “flame” or pilot light as I’ll designate it doesn’t go out bcuz Tanjiro refuses to let that happen. It’s also called back to implicitly by the master before he blows himself up, saying the real eternity is the human will which goes on beyond the death of any one individual. (The noble human will, to “rid the world of demons”, or irl to make the world a better place for other people). Also Rengoku’s mom telling him that the strong have a duty, a serious responsibility, to help others , again a theme or message of the show that is carried on throughout by Tanjiro, and the viewer is supposed to carry on with them as well. Suffice to say, you didn’t think for one second about anything beyond the surface level of the animation and the plot of the show, and thus you’ll miss the real reason why DS is a truly beautiful, inspiring and epic story, despite it’s slight shortcomings in some of it’s tropes and simple plot - which actually does demean it bcuz it’s actually great writing for telling the story it wants to be. And it’ll never get credit for it’s great foreshadowing throughout, bcuz again people don’t think for one second beyond the literal moving pictures and bright lights in front of them. That about concludes my essay, I don’t expect anyone to read it. But maybe someone who actually deeply loves the show will find some value in this

You’re wrong that’s not the one kids blood art it’s the blood demon art of the man that muzan scratched on the neck in the first season to distract tanjiro so he could get away. Tanjiro had to hold him down and the doctor lady took the man to her place to treat him and stuff. It’s that man’s blood demon art. The little demon boy that the doctor created, the one that’s madly in love with her his blood demon art is different. I’m pretty sure his blood demon art is concealment, those little pieces of papers with the weird symbol on em…I not 100% but I’m pretty sure that’s his blood demon art. And he’s a big resource in the last battle!!! He comes in clutch!! Imo it’s becuz of his blood demon art that they are able to do what they do in the castle!

Edit: This might have been what you guys said and the cut made it hard to tell, if so my apologies but its a neat little piece of info The flesh seeds are from a man in Akasusa that Muzan turned into a demon. When they first enter the Entertainment District, Muzan scratches the guys neck and turns him into a demon. It's that dudes Blood Demon Art, not Yushiro's. Yushiro's is the little patches with eyes allowing things to be invisible. Also in S3 Tamayo tells us she managed to turn that man back into a human, hence the drug she used on Muzan when he absorbed her fist.

Put any other hashira in rengokus spot and they are dead simple as that. Mitsuri with demon slayer mark is irrelevant. at the point in the show where rengoku was fighting akaza no one had mark. Rengoku with mark clears mitsuri if your gonna bring it up
