Regular show is for more of a teen audience, but it still follows the “sure why not” nature of gumball. A lot of the show starts off as mundane but quickly escalates into “what the hell” territory by the end. The developer of the show has said that they say random ideas and develop the ones that seem most intresting, hence the weird and over the top nature of the show. It’s still very good and has very neat characters and character development, though the show is over. (Also yes, a lot of characters die in this show surprisingly)

Benson (the gum ball machine) is like the person in charge for the park (where the main cast works), so a lot of episodes involve something happening to him and the others gotta fix It to not get fired, also, the scenes where he keeps getting beat up by a bunch of guys and the one where a guy throws a beehive at him are from the episode where a fortune cookie tells he's gonna have bad luck

11:40 for anyone not aware That big head guy is based on a real person called Billy Mitchel, who became infamous for cheating a Pac-Man speedrun and submitting it as legit. The leaders of speedrunning at the time where a company called Twin Galaxies, and since Billy got media attention, Twin Galaxies supported his cheated run for profit Twin Galaxies later back-pedaled in their support when they finally realized it was hurting their reputation, but it was too late Billy is known for suing anyone that claims his run was not legit and Twin Galaxies fell so far from grace that they tried to sue Billy to paint a better image of themselves with no success And yes, Billy did threaten the creators of Regular Show over that episode but he didn't achieve anything

a bit of a correction, Billy Mitchell worked with the former CEO of Twin Galaxies to fake the record and a lot of other stuffs to boost their reputation before selling Twin Galaxies for a lot of money. later when Twin Galaxies changed CEO, they discovered that the record was cheated and filed a huge lawsuit to Billy Mitchell and the former CEO.

for quick clarification, Billy Mitchel was close friends with the owner and CEO of twin galaxies at the time and they intentionally approved and promoted his and his close compatriates fake times to boost profits. It was generally swept under the rug at the time until they sold the business for twin galaxies for big bucks (thanks to the inflated profits of the false records) and the owner of New Twin Galaxies went thru the records and had a WTF moment and then started cleaning house of corruption and counter suing Billy, his friends, and the old owner for illegal business practices. The general nucleus of what you said is overall correct, but I just wanted to clarify that the CEO of New Twin Galaxies, Jace Hall, is a pretty stand-up guy who deserves a lot of credit for fixing the shit left behind by the real scum bags; Billy and the old CEO Walter Day hope this was informative for anyone curious. I adore Regular Show! It’s my absolute favorite show right now, I’ve rewatched it so many times. It actually develops into a really interesting but still wacky plot in the last few seasons. And the movie has what’s honestly one of the darkest cartoon moments. The moments may seem crazy and like there’s no reason behind them but they all have context behind them that somehow makes them work perfectly. I would recommend giving it a full watch in your spare time it’s a fantastic show with a lot of great humor.

The regular show pilot was about two guys working the graveyard shift at a convenience store before getting high and hallucinating, at which point they turn into the bird dude (Mordecai) and the gumball machine dude (Benson). That's what this show feels like a lot of the time from what I've seen... A really weird trip. Also the anger issues guy is muscle man. with a name like that of course he's strong

This might be a bit left field, but something I would recommend reacting to would be "Note Block Universe - Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Ep 29" by Alan becker. It's something I think people who review music would appreciate. It's part of an ongoing series with a continuous plot, so you can watch the series in chronological order if you want. Each episode is great in its own right, and seems to get better with each passing episode. But episode 29 is the one I'd recommend to you if you don't mind the callbacks to previous episodes. If you do end up watching the whole thing, it's split up into two seasons, and I believe it's about 3 hours total. If you decide to watch episode 29 on its own, I'll at least say if you see something distinctly blue in the episode, it made its debut in that episode.

For a good description of this show, This show is the less serious Adventure time, it's got a over arching plot but ut doesn't mstter to the watching experience like adventure time but this show definitely has the funnier and more out there jokes that seperate it from every over show making it both entertaining, disturbing and leaving you wanting more So yeah you should definitely watch some full episodes of this show as they're great
