I've seen some people say that Saw X is perfect to watch after 2 because it takes place between 1 and 2. But that actually isn't true. There is a HUGE spoiler for Saw 4 at the end of Saw X. So I'd recommend at least getting to the end of 4 before checking it out. That aside, this movie was great. John knew that Eric was a corrupt cop. He was violent, falsified evidence and even gunned down an unarmed suspect. Violence is his go to. So his test was a trial of patience. His son's life on the line. A safe place that was right in front of him the entire time. If he just sat there and talked to John, he'd be able to arrest Jigsaw, get his son back safely and go home. But alas, he could not restrain his anger. And fell right into John's trap. Gameover.

All he had to do was just sit down and talk to Jigsaw for a while and then his son would’ve popped up in the safe, where Jigsaw technically said he would be lol. Yet, he knew he would be impatient and angry, which is why he had a test in the first place. A hot head that just doesn’t listen to others. Smh.

Like I said last time, most of the "victims" are the actual villains in these films, and Jigsaw is somewhere between vigilante and antihero. There's only a few participants that are actual victims, don't deserve it. You can't tell me the world isn't a better place without Xavier and that creep Mr. Kenobi. And Det. Matthews... got EXACTLY what he deserved. A crooked cop who plants evidence, and used police brutality. In this movie, Jigsaw is my hero. A crooked cop getting his comeuppance. It was justified.

theres a humongous character reveal that happens in saw 4 that's spoiled pretty blatantly in saw x (and very casually too) which will dampen your experience for the rest of the franchise (since you'll know exactly who the character is and their purpose for the rest of the series)

There is quite a bit more to the Saw lore after Saw II. I haven't seen Saw X yet but unless it recaps the lore from the previous movies you will be missing quite a bit of the story...

Watching up to Saw 4 would be better before watching Saw X cause there’s huge spoilers at the end of the movie for another character. I personally would even advocate for watching up through Saw 3D just because of that character, but that’s just me. Up through at least 4 to completely avoid spoilers in Saw X though would be what I would recommend

fun fact, when filming it if i’m not mistaken a REAL syringe did fall into the pit amongst all the fake ones and crew had to sit there and go one by one to figure out which syringe was the real one before shooting

You mentioned the tripwire as the staircase triggered. Both showcase Jigsaw's hypocrisy as pointed out by Eric. "I didn't kill anyone, except for those cops." Obi has a phobia of flames, making it unlikely that he saw the Devil (nor would he be able to move towards the flames if he did). The Box Trap was actually for Gus (the door hole kill). The key was still in the lock on top of the box, making it one of the easier traps. In Addison's defence, it's hard to think clearly when you are so close to death. (Xavier is proof of that, choosing the worst way to explain what he wants) Rigg's actor was cast as Xavier at one point. Some of the house props can be seen in the steel mill (namely the photos), hinting at the twist. Amanda immediately searches around for a tape, even though she got an automatic recording instead due to her trap's setup (the bear trap's timer starts the moment she gets too far from her seat). That alone could get some one suspicious if they remember the specifics. Aside from a brief moment when she "discovers" Daniel's connection to Eric, Amanda sticks to Daniel as a bodyguard of sorts.

Okay I didn't know you guys would immediately recognized Daniel from scream 4 but why would you not I was going to put it pointed out if you didn't notice and that Eric Matthews thing I didn't even think about noting mentioning that to any follower but I also was a big fan of boy meets world so when I met the cop named after one of the characters from that show it highly distracted me not only that but he's played by one of the new kids which was the hottest band in the world when I was I was a kid I like most kids my age had a huge crush on Joe who was like 9 years older than me like from the time he was in high school I went to the concert when I was in like third grade

Um, he planted evidence. It doesn't matter if they were guilty or not. But if he had to plant evidence, I'm sure the person wasn't guilty of the crime were being charged with at that time because these crimes were probably like possession with intent to distribute and such. But still, you don't plant evidence. That's how innocent people spend the rest of their lives in prison, or executed by the state. It's not uncommon.
