The thing about this episode is they were brilliant with making this so easy to follow without using explicit language. This was the episode that made Seinfeld "viral" in it's day, watercooler talk.

There are countless episodes that are absolute classics...might be the best sitcom ever made. Btw, for their jobs, George starts out as a real estate agent (the episodes where he loses that job are awesome) later becomes an assistant for the Yankees. Elaine is an editor for most of the show, and Kramer has the odd scheme now and then but we never really see him with a steady job.

I was hooked on Seinfeld ever since. It was very relatable, funny and clever.
@RobertC44583 ай бұрын
@Dos Cavazos: Recommendation of "Seinfeld" episode to watch and react to - "The Outing" - sort of a companion episode to "The Contest" - it has a call back to the "watching a sponge bath" scene. In "The Outing" - a reporter publicly "outs" ( reveals ) "Jerry" and "George" ( Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander ) as gay and a gay couple, thanks to a prank played by "Elaine" ( Julia Louis-Dreyfus ) on a couple of eavesdroppers, and they struggle to convince the rest of the world of their heterosexuality. "Kramer" ( Michael Richards ) has only three ( 3 ) rather brief scenes in this episode, but he makes the most of them. The line "... not that there's anything wrong with that"-as a reference to homosexuality-has become a popular catchphrase among fans. ( "The Outing was Season 4, Episode 17, "The Contest" was Season 4, Episode 11. )
@Lefty00004 ай бұрын
It's completely fine to watch the episodes out of order, they're all very random anyway for the most part. Can't wait for the next ones! Keep doing your thing y'all. My recommendation would be "The Outing"
@almahperditae3 ай бұрын
The first time I watch Seinfeld, I saw out of order. Amazing show. The thing is, I don't live in America, the show was broadcast at 3AM, so I got to tape it and watch it after school. So... I watch it as random episodes, and miss a lot of episodes, and it was completely chaotic. Still amazing show. But... Years later, i get the complete show and started watching in order, not only that, but I became completly obcess with the show. I watch the all show in about a month. And then it clicked. The show is even more genious than it appear. Even if you saw the complet show in order, during it original run, it took you 9 years. There's no way you remember all the little detais. Seeing the show in a month you realize there's not a single line in the show who isn't a joke. Sometimes the joke is from a episode that originaly was 4 or 5 years. There's no way someone remember the previous line. Seeing it in a month, you realize the scale of genious that was Seinfeld. Every single line in the show is a joke, everything is tightly connected. And there's no way a normal person realizes that in a normal viewing. It's just impossible.
@almahperditae3 ай бұрын
Well... I guess everybody know this, because it's obvious, but it's a good exemple of what Seinfeld was. I think everybody knows that the last scene in the show it's the very first scene in the show. The first and last dialogue it's the exact same dialogue. Nine years apart
