Most people don't catch a southern accent on me, dad's family moved down there from Jersey and Boston, mom's from Illinois, but if get drunk around someone with one ill start sounding like Boomhower from Kong of the hill

I live in TN and of the guys I went to high school with has seemingly decided to dress and talk like a civil war reinactor in his every day life. He’s got mutton chops and a long mustache. So he’s my age but looks like he’s in his 50s. Oh and on a side note, he smokes meat in his spare time. Southern people bingo

It’s kinda fascinating the way a southern accent works, it’s the only American accent that I’ve seen is actually learned from being in a region long enough. I lived in Florida at first where the people have a distinctly “swampy(?)” tone in their voice to Louisiana where people talk more in line with the traditional deep south. I can switch from the two tones on a dime kinda like bilingual people can with different languages

well the new orleans accent is more french, spanish, country blend. many sound new yorker. Its a cajun accent, not a traditional deep south one.

Really I think it's just another one of those I hear someone with a Southern accent For the First Time moments because there are plenty of kids like this kid but people that don't live around here really tend to get very fascinated by the way southern people talk just because they think it's so different but funny I guess I'm just trying to let Cody know that wishing you were related to them it's probably not a good thing because no hate to the southern people but you would have most likely ended up being a very different person if you were Southern instead of Canadian boys
