Tim doesn't understand that this is how Gen z talks they exaggerate everything, but the self awareness is definitely there. Gen z says something they realize how ridiculous it sounds, and instead of pointing it out or stopping like maybe a millennial would they just double down in the most casual way. Idk if people who do this are aware that they are doing satire. I do this all the time, and I found out what satire means embarrassingly late in life. Millennials are more self depreciating while gen z just runs with it until the conversation becomes nothing but absolute nonsense.

When courtney said they are actors producers and writers she was clearly joking. They were just talking about giving themselves real job titles that are very loosely similar to what they do so that they don’t have to try to explain to their family and friends what an influencer actually is because it’s a hard thing to explain. They know they’re not actually directors and writers. It’s a joke. Also, brooke was referring to courtney as the person who started gen z comedy on instagram while the majority of it is done on tik tok. whether that’s true or not idk but it seems more complimentary. Tim’s whole video is just a backhanded compliment and it really feels like he is just intimidated by his growing irrelevance with the upcoming generation.
