With the Wrathgate-cinematic, there was a coup in Undercity (the undead's city). The quest line took you there to (on the horde-side) retake it with Thrall and Sylvanas. The alliance also decided to take a stroll there with Varian (the king). After you've retaken it on the horde side, the city guards were replaced by orc guards, because the horde didn't quite trust the undead anymore. The quest has been removed since Cataclysm. Only a few private wotlk-servers advertise to have the quest working and even fewer have it enabled. Loved the quest when I've played it about 10 years ago.

Wrathgate, the first actual in game cinematic of WoW. The human leader there is Bolvor, the guy that takes on the mantle of lich king later (the charred dude that sylvanas kills in the shadowlands cinematics) and the orc leader is Saurfang's son, we see him referenced in the old soldier cinematic

1:06:45 "it is Sylvanas i saw?" Yes. One Cataclysm dungeons, The End of Times, allow us to see what happen if we failed to kill Deathwing. This specific dungeons have 5 bosses, 2 VIP of the Horde, Sylvanas and Baine (chief of Taurens). 2 VIP of the Alliance, Jaina and Tyrande (Chief of nightelfs) and the mad Dragon Time Lord. They're shadows of what they was before (because in this dungeon, every single living being beside us, the monsters and the dragon is dead) but yeah, "you can fight (and kill) Sylvanas."

you need to witness the old strategy game lore as that sets this all up! I played it and watched it. Then you would understand the importance of many of the characters. Arthas story of becoming the litch king is told though out them. It's were you meet the dark spear troll's namely zuljin. Great character by the way. It's were you meet the naga. It's were you meet the moon elves illaden and the warden in particular. Guldan and his betrayal of orc kind. Oh and water mage lady(what was her name, Prodmore, I think) who killed father because he was hunting the orcs when they didn't want to fight. Arthas love interest till litchdome. the orcs did fight the father because he didn't give them a choice but they did try more peaceful means. Then there was the half orc, half ogar Dunathar, and his pet bear Mesha. So much fun that campaign. War chief Thron the green skined orc that seems to save the day a lot. Like a lot of a lot. He just want's a normal life. (I apologized if I got any of the names wrong but the characters are good I promise. It's been too long since I played the games @_@)

The wrathgate cinematic is when WoW really changed into a huge epic. The fall of the Lich King really set the tone for the future of WoW it just escalated from there.

Wrathgate was an amazing experience. Spoilers were nothing like they are now, and I had no idea why my screen suddenly went blank when I finished the last quest in that chain... then Wrathgate happened and changed in-game storytelling from that point on. :) IKedit on KZbin does amazing re-creations/remasters of old WoW cinematics as well as original cinematics that really need to be seen. Don't miss the Wrath cinematic remaster and his original, Exinction.

There's three really short videos missing for Cataclysm. They happen during the actual raid fight against Deathwing. In total they last one minute all together. Such nostalgia to watch those...... Especial Black Temple and Firelands, because between those raids I was raiding progress. Then I stopped playing WOW a month before Firelands opened and returned 3 weeks before the next raid opened (with all the nerf's and buffs) it wasn't that bad to clear it on non heroic. And with DS I started going casual raiding and visiting "the death of the community itself THE RAID FINDER". And the first raid when I got back into progress was SOO. The current WOW isn't mine anymore, I had fun with mythic + and the raids but Raider IO destroyed everything in my eyes. You just have to play and play and play. It was exhausting and I am glad I stopped playing it. But I will play the story of Shadowlands and I don't think I will ever get back in progress or will ever again see a raid boss on mythic difficulty.

The Cataclysm video is why the Shadowlands reveal didn't have much about it, the Path of the Titans...should have be implemented, then we wouldn't have the gimmick of Weapons, Then Armor and Necklace, and of course now the new system in play with Shadowlands. They have to figure out a permanent thing to keep in the game when it come to Alternate/End Game leveling.

i don't know if it's worth the clicks or that, but u should consider watching most/some cinematics a second time, now that u have a far better understanding of its meaning. i think your reaction would still be worth watching the wrathgate a second time, now that u know that Bolvar will be the next Lichking and will be deafeated by sylvanas... or 3.1, when thrall speaks with garrosh is much more clear and worthwile after u know, what happened in warlords of draenor and siege of orgrimmar... but i really do enjoy these videos of yours! it has been a long time ago i watched most of these ;) also, u missed some classic cinematics. for example, there is no THE trolls... they are divided by tribes, and only one follows the horde, while most are "feral" there is a cinematic for that "zul'gurub"
