Honestly a mix of both would be great, the audio quality in this reaction seems to be alot better than the Gods Of Egypt video but what I did like about the gods of Egypt reaction was that sometimes the movie would go full screen sometimes, so here's what I think you should do: 1. Have the same audio quality to this video as the quality here sounds really good 2. Have the movie go full screen time to time during a few seconds of an important scene or a scene you believe had your biggest reactions, and when the movie isn't full screen have it small screen in the same place as it is in this video 3. Maybe try to make the area your watching it have dimmed lighting as if the set is too bright it may hurt people's eyes

1. You should have the movie go full screen during notable scenes. It's kinda hard to see the screen. 2. There are two things I found kinda annoying when watching the video. The first one is that I recommend not zooming in on people's faces, make it so that we can see everyone's reaction. 3. The lighting is just........no 4. I also think the camera should be a little higher.

Hey, I had an idea. Why not go over how various Tokusatsu use mythology and history. Like how in Kamen rider gaim, there is the “forest of helheim” which is honestly incredible to look at. Or the various phantoms of Kamen rider wizard

It's pretty obvious that this movie is reminiscent of Shakespeare's Hamlet but fun fact, Shakespeare's original story of Hamlet was actually inspired by a Norse legend composed by Saxo Grammaticus in Latin around 1200 AD which is actually what The Northman is directly based off. So really this movie is an adaptation of the story that inspired Hamlet

When Flojnir spoke about keeping that slave white, he was talking about how in Norse culture, when the women were super white, it was seen as a status symbol. It showed everyone that you didn't have to go outside and do any labor whatsoever and remain honestly untouched by the sun. That really was a status symbol in Norse culture.

Heavy mix with “Beowulf” (or perhaps more fitting Bodvar Bjarki, given good old Saxo Grammaticus as the inspiration for Amleth: The tale of Amleth was written by Saxo Grammaticus in 12-13th Century and set on pancake flat Denmark (the Peninsula of Jutland to be specific), though a similar story can be found in “Hrolf Kraki’s Saga”, which again can be tied to Beowulf through Hrolf Kraki's berserker Bodvar Bjarki)- (Bjornulfr), and the Draugr/Barrow Wraith had some fitting Icelandic Saga flair straight out of Grettir's Saga too! And add a little “Conan the Barbarian” for the muscles and the transition shot of Amleth rowing as a child to an adult. Also, Eggers could not resist some Shakespeare-references indeed: Lady Macbeth for Gudrun, the Head of Heimr/Yorick, and hiding behind a loom/curtain, with a pinch of Akira Kurosawa (“Throne of Blood” (Macbeth) and “Ran” (King Lear)). The River Scenes, the sacking of the Slavic City and the Slavic Fertility Celebration among the Slaves on Iceland, are also very much inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's Classic "Andrei Rublev"! The outerworld-ness of Iceland should be a worthy selling point in it’s own! One of very few movies that manage to “get” the grimness of the Icelandic Sagas (with Heroes “larger than life” rather than morally good), but also its comedy: Had a great laugh after the epic and brutal sacking of the Slavic Village, when the movie showed the Berserkers needing a “time-out” during their “hangover”. Marvelous acting by all! Skarsgård, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicole Kidman have rightfully been mentioned in several reviews, but also Claes Bang (Fjolnir) and Ethan Hawke blew it out of the park! You should always be careful when publicly judging Child Actors, but I have to say that the actors that did the roles of Young Amleth and his half-brother Gunnar nailed their parts! I find Fjolnir’s choice of Frey as his patron god very interesting: The “Love God” (choosing the love of Gudrun over the loyalty to his king and brother), and a god of Fertility, which gets really ironic hen he is exiled to a barren land, and (spoilers) gets both his sons killed. And I loved that the Machismo of the warriors worshiping Odin is contrasted with Odin shown as a god of magic/"seidr", tying him to the goddess of Seidr and fertility, Freya,

29:20 if you want more viking media, try out Vinland Saga a highly regarded manga/anime which is known to be pretty historically accurate. There's also a scene in Vinland Saga which is similar to the comments made here 18:51 where some viking characters are having some banter with christians comparing Thor to Jesus and asking who's stronger.
