@@RussianFederation.gov. i don't think that there are any animated disney movie that depict the true stories: Hercules wasn't Hera's son, Pocahontas wasn't a full grown woman when she met John Smith, Anastastia Romanov didn't survive the revolution, despite being a war hero, Mulan was sold into slavery and her father died before she returned home from war, etc. I only watch these movies because i love the soundtrack but they are not accurate and i don't think that there are any animated Disney movies that are

Late to the party, as a muslim who also loves mythology I can easily respect how you formulate your opinions, I have a family member who voices his issues with my research into mythology but I continue regardless because I know its not what I believe in at all, I just find the tales of different people engaging to a point I'm writing my own fantasy world inspired by other mythology.

As a Christian, I am endlessly annoyed by people that act as if you attempting to learn anything about another religion is somehow wrong or evil. My opinion is and has been for a while now that you can learn a lot about defending your faith and can help plenty in talking to others about your faith by understanding the belief’s that others hold or how similar they are to ancient belief’s. How can you bring people to understanding Christ and the Gospel if your unwilling to understand their side of the argument? Besides - mythology is just interesting. I love it. Keep up the good word man!

@@Chunky_doggo honestly it has to do with that people misunderstand the God of the Bible and do a lot of bad things under his name (ex the Crusades which have no support in Scripture). The Bible clearly states that God is slow to anger and wrath (hence why the world has been around. He’s willing to give all of us a lot of time to come to him, but eventually his justice and judgement will have to come.) But yea, it’s been misconstrued to make the Judeo-Christian God be very angry or cruel at times when he’s more patient and kind. He doesn’t want to let anyone die, but leaves to the people if they want to accept his gift or face his justice.

One of the reasons I enjoyed Percy Jackson so much was because Zeus wasn't shown as this wise old man who is just the best and that Hades wasn't actually the bad guy. It was a whole point in the first book and it slowly got better with them convincing Hades to actually fight with the other gods together, even if the other gods are assholes most of the time.

Assholes that preach blind obedience and work on charisma rather than compassion have always beem part a system to control the masses since the early church became entangled with Rome. Mathew 6:2. But modern Evangelical Christianity does actually pose a threat to the actual church as the obvious hypocrisy and hate is driving away the community its supposed to serve. Its funny, Christ was the ultimate rebel rouser and voice for the people, but the way preachers make it out is that the world is just meant to be endured and subservient to the powers that be so we can get our heavenly reward, all the while they rake in money and fraternize with the powers that be.... Jesus never really said much about the church, if anything the church stuff came way later when 3rd generation Christianity began attempting to codify doctrine while the first generation who would have actually known Jesus were dying out. But than again, what do i know, I am a deist that is destined to hell according to my right wing christian family, so meh.

Honestly, I really love your videos! They are really funny and hilarious. In my opinion, it doesn't really matter what other people say because of the heartwarming intentions that you and other people have. Plus, I really love mythology myself, and I'm happy that I'm not the only one who likes these things. I've liked these videos since your Hercules from what I can remember. I think he does the classic mistake of mixing Hades with the christianic Satan. So he attributes the same things from Satan to Hades (the god) just as people think Hades (the place) is the same thing as christian hell... which it is not. Hades is actually a pretty chill guy (except for uh.. a few incidents... uhm...)

There’s this one story of how Set tried to show his dominance against Horus by attempting to nut in him however he only managed to nut on his leg. Horus wiped the nut off and threw it into the Nile and decided in revenge to nut on Set’s favourite food: lettuce, which Set later ate. Later, Set went to the other gods to show how he won against Horus and the gods called forth Set’s sperm which rose up from the Nile. Then, when Horus claimed victory over Set they called forth Horus’s sperm and it came up and out of Set’s stomach/mouth, making Horus the “winner”. Also Set was Horus’s uncle. Sorry for ruining your day.

In Wicca, there are very few set rules on how to practice, and IMO that’s half the beauty of it! Personally, I find it a little challenging every now and then because some gods are harder to summon together if they’re from different pantheons and their spheres of control overlap to some extent, but most of the time it’s like having an extended family of people from all corners of the world. In order to have patrons from multiple pantheons you’d need to _believe_ in multiple pantheons (which not all do) and have to be well enough acquainted with the different ones in order to recognise the symbols of the god/goddess who is extending their favour to you! Like I said, I work with deities from both Greco and Norse pantheons because these were what I knew most well, but now that I’m a little older and more well-read, I’m getting signs of an eastern deity trying to extend their favour :D My personal view of the pantheons is that they all co-exist in their own circles, each being a manifestation of their attributes which has formed a personality of their own! I feel that belief is what holds power, and a god/goddess with more belief + worship for them can be more powerful in my life due to that! My mum’s a Christian too and we even sometimes pray together in the same room, through this I’ve found that I also believe in the existence of the Christian/Muslim God, but since I have no desire to worship him, he holds a (comparative to other deities) insignificant amount of belief in my life. Oooh, I do have a question I’ve always wanted to ask although it’s a bit more towards your personal beliefs: Do you believe in demons? and if so do they have a physical form and reside in a physical place or are they more ideas of sin or other? As far as you question about demons, though I'm not particularly religious, I did grow up in a Christian family and attended church regularly, so I might have an answer. I never really thought demons had a physical form per se, to me demons were one's capabilities for evil or cruelty. Perhaps someone who thinks similarly to me could say a demon's physical manifestation are particularly evil or cruel people. Idk if this helped you, and I guess take my thoughts with a grain of salt considering I'm not a practicing Christian. Anyway have a nice night, and I'll take a shot for your gods.
