My CHEAP 67 Camaro Gets 2020 ECU With NEW WIRING And GLASS *5 Days From Deadline*

I bought a 67 Camaro RS for only $6,500 and I'm taking it to LS Fest East in only 5 days. We've got the rebuilt Powerglide transmission and the LS2 from J&J Auto Wrecking in and now the former SAAB engine is getting the complete Holley Terminator EFI treatment. The new windshield is installed thanks to my friends at Blue Collar Collision and Glass. All that's left is tying up odds and ends then we can turn the key.

I've done many, many engine swaps and I always prefer to have the exhaust on the car for its initial start up for one reason, it is much easier to hear any funny noises that might happen.

JR. For the hood fitment problem have you tried putting the old intake or a low profile on that motor moving the wires to a new location and using the holly carb/injector deal that you have on your grandfather's old Ford truck. That should lower the intake to shut the hood. With the alternator get a custom bracket make to move it lower in the engine bay

That windshield got pushed to for into the body, its supposed to almost sit flush to the body, else the trim pieces wont install correcly. When you install the next windshield, make rubber spacers that prevents the glas to sit to far in. I made the same misstake on my 67, had to cut the glass out and install it again to get the trim to fit.

You gonna use duct tape and cardboard to cover the rear Flintstone edition floor before you try doing burnouts? If not you are gonna have tire rubber slung all the to the inside of the windshield.

My dad bought one of those abrasive cleaners about 1975. Plugs needed to be cleaned by liquid methods after the abrasives. Then I think air drying was needed so replacing the cheap plugs was the popular way to improve ignition.

My Camaro came with the tint on the windshield from the factory. It comes with it when “tinted windows” was ordered with the car.

Thats what I figured you would do with the tank. LOL. Also, I believe a factory ac car should have the tint line. Im pretty sure the original in my factory ac rs had the tint before I replaced it with a used windshield from a non ac car back in the '80s. Or it might have been an option that would be called out on the trim tag. Ill have to re-decipher my tag to be sure. Its been a while. LOL.

Not going to clean out the engine bay and repaint it first. Sure it has rust on there. That is what I would wanna do if I dropped an LS in my s10. And since you don't have an s10 you can get a new dashboard and make the interior very nice. But sure you have a very long list to begin with.

Man I wish I had a good successful day but it has been hell I was finishing my 396 up after a cam swap since the old one had 2 flat lobes so the first tragedy happened putting the harmonic balancer back it the threads stripped them selfs out but I was able to overcome that problem so I broke in my cam and that all went great got a little hot but never overheated so I let it cool down for a few hours then pulled the valve covers and that’s when tragedy struck I’m looking at my rockers to just make sure everything is good so I’m looking and I see one pushrod so deep in the head that I couldn’t heal it with my fingers and that bitch is all bent up and the end of it snapped off so I’m calling it quits with this motor it has been nothing but trouble and a money pit
