The otega rebound was just amazing. Rebounding over a much taller player to finish the game. And he had an incredible rebound where he was fighting dukes huge center. All his rebounds and defensive stops were great and he is just tough and energetic. I love everything I see from him.

Duke, especially Flagg, was spent at the end. Our Cats wore them down and had plenty left in their own tanks. That’s pope knowing how to get a team ready for a full 40-minute game and the team responding with no quit.

It does the heart a load of good just to be able to talk about significant in-game adjustments for Kentucky. Definitely a welcome change.

The biggest in game adjustment not mentioned. Putting Carr at the 5. Making the big 7'2 guy have to come out of the paint and guard him.

I was SO IMPRESSED with our Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. The adjustments in the 2nd half is something I hadn't seen us do in years. They play such a fun style on both ends of the court! Both the offense and defense are enjoyable to watch. I am proud of this team and Coach Pope.

Not too many people talking about that key rebound and no look pass Kobe Brea made which was a key sequence to help Kentucky get rolling to win the game. It was a total team effort, and that is a good sign. Kobe Brea imo is one of our best players.

What I think is amazingIs the fact that duke's game plan was focused on Robinson, unfortunately they were successful locking him down. Is it, but that shows how good of a team we are that we will never know who the best player on this team is this entire season. They're shooting guard had 13 points in the first half and zero in the second half. I think most teams, if you lock down that specific, the game swings the other direction. I still think Ansley Almonor is the dark horse, I'm ready for him to have his jump out night.

Are we not so blessed to have coach P. i love to here him explain all the intricate details and analytics of the game. poor coach Cal still sounds just like he did here the last few years when talking to the medea. i really dont think he knows how to put together a good team anymore. he did alot for UK so i hope he figures it out for Ark just not agaist us.

@@dwphillips42 it's wild to go from a coach that literally said, in MARCH, "we might start talking about zone defense", to a coach whose early November press conferences are so deep and packed with information that I need google to understand half the things he's talking about. I disagree, I don’t think he would have ever had the tools and resources he needed there. Now that the jazz guy is there you got ainge dumping all that money into the program. Wouldn’t have happened with Pope and he would still have the same handicaps to work with. At UK he has every resource available to him for staff, players, equipment, technology, whatever, and a lot less restrictions. Anything he needs he’s gonna get, especially after last Tuesday. He will definitely build something great here.

I think it would be fun to do some sort of "pick apart" episode, where we take a deep look at stats and talk about where individuals and the team could make small improvements. For example, should Butler take less threes? He's 1/6 on the season and averages like 30% in his prior seasons. Would Robinson do better off the bench, where he thrived last year? Just thoughts.

@@davidenix3039 I can't speak for all Kentuckians but I'm not necessarily thinking about title. We don't know enough about the team for that. We'll have to see them endure some brutal sec play to really know what we've got. But what we've seen so far is enough to get excited. Excited because we see what looks like a winning formula. IE: great ball movement, good OFF the ball movement, not relying on one or two guys to play great every game, intense defense capable of implementing complicated schemes, disciplined play on offense and defense, actually being prepared for a specific opponent, high IQ X's and O's on offense, and on and on... And it's knowing that these things are a priority to our coach. We haven't been able to even say that for a while.

There are two types of people who say that. First you have the group that only simplifies basketball down to scoring more than the other team. Second you have the group who understand nothing about basketball other than scoring more points means you win. The first only focuses on offense. The second knows little to nothing about how you actually play the game.

Kentucky really didnt beat Duke, Duke beat Duke with all them wide open missed threes. If Duke makes 2 or 3 more threes and they win. If they make 11 then they blow Kentucky out. If they make over 11 threes and Kentucky looks like a D3 program. Its really BAD defense on Kentucky really bc Duke had so many wide open threes that wouldnt fall

Best thing about the if game is you can play it a million different ways. Kentucky missed a handful of wide open 3s too. What’s if they hit those? Kentucky blows them out. At end of the day it doesn’t matter because it didn’t happen. Gotta hit open shots in big games.
