As someone that was working at BK during the Halloween Whopper... It sold incredibly well. So well that the distributor was sold out of the buns nearly two weeks before Halloween, and during the few weeks we could still get them, it didn't matter how many we ordered, we sold out before the next truck every single time. Usually by the day after they arrived.

11:55 The Super Size Me, "documentary" was so annoying. And was made with so much bad faith, the biggest problem being that he (Sperlock) refused to release logs of what he ate and no one else who attempted this experiment had the same results. Leading everyone to assume he was eating way more than just one meal at every meal. Also it was revealed (about 2 years ago) that one of his main health complaints during the documentary was a preexisting condition from alcoholism (dying liver).

Growing up I didn't much fast food till I worked at Burger king in high school and that was because I could eat for free and even then, I didn't eat every time I worked there. College I was guilty of going to fast food places once or twice a week but Only to get a snack and not a whole meal. Now, I just don't like it. I am not sure if it's because I am older and my tastes have changed but I hate the idea of fast food (I will get take out but not fast food).

The Wendys superbar was absolutely amazing when I was a kid. I do remember it suddenly disappearing though (only went to Wendys a few times a year) and that made me sad. I feel like I can still smell it and taste the food. Now, working in a restaurant, I shudder to think about how dirty everything probably was.

Remember the McDLT? It was a burger in a two chambered styrofoam container that was supposed to keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool. It failed because the containers weren't environmentally friendly if I recall correctly.

In the Philippines they like to have their spaghetti sweet with banana ketchup rather than a tomato-based sauce. The history behind this is banana ketchup was invented during WWII when there was a shortage of tomatoes but plenty of bananas. wendy's superbar was great, and there was at least a couple places still doing it in 2009.. not sure if it was still 2.99 or maybe 3.99.. but if it lasted over 20 years at least in some areas, i wouldn't exactly call it a "major fast food failure" also, i'm almost certain this list is a repeat with maybe one or two changes... and i made mostly the same comment then. is domino's and pizza hut actually fast food?? but the noid was very popular for about 10 years, even had video games, and many many toys and items of the noid, that are still around.. plus it's not exactly a product, but a mascot, so not sure how it failed.

I wouldn't call Burger King's Halloween Whopper to be a failure I loved it when it came out, its just the western-american audience they marketed it towards for Halloween they thought would've loved it because its a big seller in Japan with the Kuro Whopper and it was Halloween season after all. Heck we have tinted foods all different dyes to make the food look scary and we devote fall season to pumpkin spice latte "which i also love" whats the big deal.

Also the BK Broiler grilled chicken sandwich, IT WAS EXCELLENT! Folks really missed out on the whole "have it your way" thing. Nine times out of 10 if you ask for it back then we would do it. You wanted a triple Whopper? We would do it. You wanted a double chicken sandwich? We would do it. You wanted a chicken tender sandwich? We would do it. All we did was just charge you for the individual items. 😁😁😁 Two of my favorite sandwiches were easily the BK broiler with bacon and cheese with lettuce and tomato. And when we were serving them the four piece Burger Buddies with bacon cheese lettuce and light onion with three chicken tenders on the top or onion rings. . . We were in that kitchen making Dagwood sandwiches if the customer asked and paid for it! 😆😆😆😆😆

That In and Out 4x4 burger reminds me of when shortly before I abandoned Facebook, there was a trend where I was seeing people ordering baconators with extra patties. In Australia we had a similar Halloween burger at Hungry Jack's which was to help promote the new Dark Knight movie which was the one with the Joker, I ate so many of those Dark Knight Burgers with my friends, great memories!

McDonald's was only fun to go to was back in the '70s and very early 80s when they had mcdonaldland cookies and Ronald McDonald used to visit some of the stores. Those were the good old days. What's left now is garbage

Morgan Spurlock's experiment has been debunked. It has been recreated several times and no test group has ever experienced the health problems he did, even though it was determined that it was not healthy. Moreover, Spurlock's experiment was to eat McDonald's food "normally" three meals a day for thirty days. In his film he makes a claim of very high daily calorie count for the food he ate. Even if he ate the highest calorie normal McDonald's meal three times in one day he could get nowhere near the amount of calorie's consumed he claims.

The Noid was a huge sucess and only got cancelled cause of some guy holding up a dominions pizza place demanding payment due to his name being used for advertisement even though the noid ahs been around for many and many of years before he ever noticed etc. If anything people liked the noid cause of his antics etc. He even got a top-seller game that was re-coded for him through a significant company for Nintendo. if anything Dominios needs to bring it back .

I remember so many of these. Loved the Noid. Had toys & even the nes game. I miss the salad bar at Wendy's, was nice having options other than the base menu especially after school in the Vegas heat, I don't like eating heavy when it's over 120°

I delivered pizzas at Domino's in the 80s, and fondly remember the Noid. There were four bendable toys that came with every order for a four-week period, one toy per week. I had an "Avoid the Noid" sweatshirt.
