I absolutely agree. I'm actually watching it now so only half way through. But the camera work, music and especially the fact that our American hero is driving John Steed's vintage green car makes it look like the producers of The Avengers threw together a cheap made for television sci-fi C movie on their day off. It's got so many elements straight from The Avengers except for the deliberate sense of camp and the knowing nod and a wink to the audience. It's fun. Although definitely a one time watch only.

Raises the question of how much is intentionally campy because these are intelligent English actors. . .elements of some early Bond films, and if you're a fellow "boomer," of a sixties series called Get Smart, or The Man from Uncle. Gotta love the space ship "launching pad". . .the jazz score and script signals light entertainment, which it is. Robert Hutton is a science genius and a superman the combo guys dream about, his love story could have been stretched out but wiser heads prevailed. The two hairy bare chested males, the "enforcers" look like they should make an ad selling beer. Entertaining for sure.

in that particular intsance the alien minds invading the human hosts they retain all knowledge of its hosts including all their memories why the alien in human form speaks in that inferior method however ... maybe its comes natural or is part of the invasion protocol since thy would imidiatly blow thier cover and likely apprehended and or institutionlized another theory is that they seem to come from the moon so they likely had quite some time to observe the human nature there beforehand which would also explain how they know so much of aviable tech and other stuff aside from the personal knowledge of the hosts bodies so they where able to procure all the extra resources they have gathered on the landing site so yeah in case i have to assume they speak english because it make the invading force be more unconspicious compared to a scenario where they would invade war of the worlds style
