Confidence is not really something I feel I need and didn't really need much to make this post. I may be wrong, but I'll stand by my opinion until I'm shown to be wrong. It's when confidence overshadows self awareness that it really becomes a problem. Confidence always seems to imply a level of self delusion and so should always be held in check by self awareness. I've read 'Sunny day, rainy day' which seems to promote these similar concepts of positivism and found it a headache as it just seems to promote perceptual bias and self delusion as healthy. Seems similar to concepts of confidence.

I've always been a tomboy and identified as a bi, cis-woman but I've also always had issues with my image and how people perceive me. I've gotten called butch a few times before by random dudes on the street (literally only men) and if anything it has given me confidence because it reassures me that a guy may look at me and feel insecure enough to comment on how I dress and look haha, makes me feel like I'm doing something right >:) I'm definitely in tune with my feminity and have days when I wanna dress more "feminine" but I am also shamelessly in touch with my masculine side. Videos and stories from people like this give me the confidence and ability to get called butch as an insult but take it as a compliment. It's so important to grant people who don't conform to specific gender roles or even fashion the visibility they deserve ❤️

We need this to be spread more. I’ve had too many other lesbians bash me for not being fem. they always slang comments such as “why are you trying to hide your female features”... when I’m not even wearing baggy clothes. I love seeing two gems together but I hate the stares they give me as if I’m trying to be “too loud “. Like being butch isn’t just a statement like in the past... it’s a right of expression how to feel comfortable. Preach it women- get down with your butch sides . If nuance straight women can do it so can we gays without judgement

I'm butch. I was always afraid to dress how I wanted to. My family is Mexican so my parents always said you have how act like a lady and dress like a lady. I had to cook and clean for my whole family because I'm the oldest female. I do love cooking and knitting (I like making cool cases for my gameing handhelds). It took me some time to find out that I liked woman. I was always busy drooling over PC parts and always had my head in comic books, spending hours reading rumors floting around the gaming industry. I enjoyed analyzing company moves. I was picked on because I acted a bit different but I never paid attention because I was always in my own little world.
