If you are so confident they sell so easily before Christmas why not just offer the same price as consignment? Daylight robbery.

If they negociate that 12,250 to 11,750 thats 1250 profit, about 12% profit. Do you expect that they do it for charity? At the end of the day you are contacting them to sell not the other way around, you have the choice of accepting or decline and sell it yourself. The guy did not even try to negociate, he could get at least 250 more in each watch, you should not accept the first offer on grey market negotiation.

Also the dealer will price the consigned watch higher than an identical watch they have in stock making theirs look better value etc . If you can’t sell a hot Rolex like Batman for a 15% markup giving the seller a decent price and make a profit you shouldn’t be in the business. Warranty lol. Most of the Rolexes these grey dealers sell are under manufacturer warranty and even if not these Rolexes are built so well that chances of them needing a repair in 12 months is like 1%.
