This is like me and my best friend of 7 years. She's super extroverted and I'm 100% introverted. We've had A LOT of arguments, but it's all somehow worked out. I don't even know how we've lasted this long when we pretty much have nothing in common.

I must say, finding out our MBTI types has really helped me and my husband to communicate better. I'm INFP, and he's ENTP. We're lucky enough to be one of those couples that rarely argues anyway, but now if we do it gets resolved much more easily.

Love this! One of my closest friends is ESTP and I'm INFJ. While it can sometimes be difficult to understand each other (and I certainly lack her social energy) it's really great to have a friend who is much more spontaneous and in the moment.

That's very common behavior, Emily. Some of us are very talkative with everyone we meet, and some of us become more comfortable the better we know someone. Ashley- That's a great question. Try having a variety of music... maybe ask a couple of your close friends to give some suggestions, and then bounce some of your ideas off of them. This goes for all elements of the party. It's a celebration of you, so make sure that it's a party that YOU will have fun at, too!

For the arguments to conversations part...I have a friend that's completely different and we have the opposite problem. We constantly have debates and conversations about things even when we're mad at each other and we almost never just flat out argue...because we never argue, we never get our true feelings out and now a days...things are always tense between us

I've had one of my best friends since grade 4. She transferred from Korea and I'm from Japan so we had some things in common. I'm in 6th grade right now and we're still best friends and we're in the same class. But, the summer between 5th and 6th grade, we started to become interested in different things. Well, mostly me. I became more into dubstep and KZbin gamers. While she still listens to Mozart and classical music. We started to meet new people because a lot of different people came in the middle school. We sit across from each other at the moment, but we can't talk as much as before. We try to Skype each other but the different clubs we joined don't really match up to good times to talk. Luckily, we're still as close as we were the first year I met her :)

It's okay to not argue, but be sure to try and express your feelings if you're angry or upset about something your friend has done or said. If you aren't sure how to do this in person, you can try writing a letter or an email with your thoughts.

same scenario here, until one day we got stuck on the elevator and we have no choice but to talk with each other on how we can get out of that elevator, after that scenario we came back to normal because we feel in our heart that we truly care for each other .everytime we step in to that elevator she always hugging me tight and whispering THANKS FOR THE ELEVATOR :)

We're so glad you like the videos! The great thing about social networks like Facebook is they allow people to reconnect in an easy and organic way. Don't be afraid to send him a friend request with a message such as, "Hey, do you remember me? We went to school together at ____ before I moved. How have you been?" There's no harm in trying to spark up a conversation!

One of my good friends is a really big extrovert while I'm more of an introvert. We disagree on a lot of things. She always wants to go to that latest party or concert and have sleepovers a lot. Don't get me wrong,sometimes it can be fun but she doesn't get why I leave after a few hours or turn down her offer to sleep over afterwards. She thinks I'm trying to avoid or I don't like her when I say I'm tired or I just want to be alone. Even though we are very different, she introduced me to my best friend and I still love her company. She's helped me reach out a bit more and get out if my comfort zone. Can someone give me tips on how to help her see my side? She's always been loud and social and she doesn't get why I like being alone so often.

My wife is very very much an extrovert. While I am very much an introvert. The key to it is communication. Make sure your friend knows that sometimes, too much socialization is just exhausting and you need a bit of time to 'recharge'. It doesn't mean you don't like her or enjoy her company, it just means sometimes you need a bit of alone time. I have a friend and she moved to India. Some times I even stay up until 6 am trying to text her, (different time zones) but she never texts back. When I told her my mom died, she kept texting me, but time zone are annoying, because I text her after she texted me at 6 but I texted her back a 8-9.

I have a friend who I met in a competition, she was on my team, who happens to be very different from me. she's a short little girly-girl who loves soccer, purple, polka dots and pugs. she's an innocent person who loves dressing up and running around. whereas I'm an average girl, who enjoys "masculine" things and prefers being inside and drawing. Being introvert and having an extrovert friend is not really that great. You don't like to have too many friends and so you rely on them for emotional support. But they have too many friends and so can't give you much time. It might be good if the friendship is already deep. But its very hard in the beginning.

milaatje9 It doesn't sound so much like a gender issue, but a personality issue. Your guy friends just happen to have personalities that mesh well with yours, while you girl friends don't. Try using the tips in the video with some of your girl friends and see how things might change for you :)
