Unboxing my Childhood! Nubeo OAO Space Invaders 45th Anniversary Watch

The Nubeo OAO Space Invaders Limited Edition captures 45 years of Space Invaders in a watch! The colorful dial features all the characters from the popular Taito game first released in 1978. I spent a lot of time in the arcade or bowling alley dropping quarters into the Space Invaders game! So this watch really captures a piece of my childhood.
Telling time with the Nubeo OAO Space Invaders appears out of this world, but this IS a traditional 3 handed automatic movement. However, the twist is that the minute hand has printed minute markers that rotate around a set reading marker, instead of a hand/pointer rotating around the dial. Loots great but that price is crazy. Looking at their website I would suggest wait until the price drops. Other limited editions have come down a LOT in price.

I don't like the mark up then discount game, which is why I mentioned the price the way I did. That said, Nubeo has been priced higher than others for quite some time. But everything they do is top notch. Just look at their website and all the pictures...they definitely believe in their product! And these are one of a kind watches!

@@WatchWitt I fif a bit of digging as I don't know anything about this brand. It appears to be implying that it is a swiss microbrand but might not actually be? The pricing malarkey is a big red flag. Are they a brand created by Watchgang? The trademark seems to be owned by a chinese based company.

@Subcomandante73 I don't know about their past, but online snooping will reveal those two items you mentioned, yet unclear if either is correct. Their parent company is Dartmouth Brands. Sister companies are Spinnaker, AVI-8, Ballast, Duxot, RGMT, Cadola, among others.

Weird...whenever you say that I check my "held for review" folder but always empty...not there. Yes, this watch is cool! Little hard to not have a quick glance of the time, but everything else is awesome. Feels great, too!
