We just started to do this egg rocket building for our physics final. I will be creating a parachute system, but I also have it designed to not need one. I am going to build it like a top safety pick car. I am going to have a seatbelt (tape), 6 airbags (pre-inflated balloons from top, bottom, and 4 sides), and sufisticated crumple zones to absorb the impact like how cars do it where it starts out lighter and gets harder as you go in and along with the crumple zones re-inforce the safety cage that the egg is in so there is no intrusion to squish it or around it. If it is stays put inside and nothing knocks it and decelerates with the rocket it should not be able to break. I also saw a video once of how it is impossible to break an egg if you use 2 fingers and squeeze from the top and bottom so I might go home and try that not from a squeezing, but impact way but I think that would do it in.

my class was recently asked to build a rocket and i would like to create mine with a parachute but am having trouble with the release of the capsule with the egg. i was just wondering where the parachute was placed and how the parachute was able to deploy
