I have a 200 gallon tub buried in the ground for five years and only had to top it off once. Considering it’s been as dry as I can remember that is pretty good. If the tub is installed out of direct sunlight you don’t have to constantly fill them. That is a total misnomer..

My 4x8 seep was dug for campfire water. Just in case. Since then it became a frog pond, but deer and coyote do visit it. I tired to dam it and let water over flow the top. It never cleared up. The water sat in layers for months. Ran a pipe to low spot in the seep and let it draw the over flow from there. It became crystal clear. Hope this helps someone else get clear water in there pond.

Nope. Multiple tubs. Asking for ehd with that setup unless you line it. If you place tubs right they will fill on hillsides, and tubs last longer before filling than most would think. This year may end up the worst ehd year in 20 yrs…

Ehd won’t be stopped with water tubs. The idea of that means removing all natural water sources and only give them water tubs and then hope the deer stay with the water rather than going to the neighbors to drink free standing? Seems like a tall order to prevent ehd.

@@Landandlegacytubenobody said tubs eliminate ehd. They simply don’t promote it. Dug out waterholes do provide the ingredients for ehd. It’s simply a question do you want to add to an existing problem when you don’t have to…

@@richstafford1245we’ll take the risk, the problem isn’t drought and mud it’s too many deer for the landscape. Plus we’ve seen a lot of water tubs in our consulting and there is mud typically next to them are you under the belief that it’s dry ground next to a water tub?
