Nice work!! Been through the same thing in a hotel with the condensed water lines. Not a fun, or clean job. Especially with all the years of sludge build up and sediment in the systems. Great work!

Great job! You do great work and videos help many new comers. I might add you should grease grooved pipe gaskets and debur the pipe. Grease inside the couplings. The gasket needs to slide in the couplings. If it pinches it leaks. Pretty forgiving product tho. May you prosper in all your work. Great work ethics!!

I never did a lot of Victaulic piping but I used have Duck Butter (pipe joint lube) which made it a lot easier putting the couplings together. Great job as usual.

Sick vid, what's the process with purging that air out when you let the water through? Is it auto or did you have a bleed somewhere?
@kennethlobo44203 жыл бұрын
Great video! Don't u think u need to add some lubricant for the rubber coupling u need on the pipe?
@adejohnston68313 жыл бұрын
I don't see that many VJ joints here in the uk but they are around, mostly screwed black iron pipe in those situations, and in the last 10 years most jobs are going crimp. What was actually leaking the rubber gaskets ?
@JumpermanTech3 жыл бұрын
I hear you with that. Interesting to know. Hello from the US! That's true, so many crimp connections. That thing is cool but I never used it. Very expensive at the moment between the tool and fittings. I still solder & braze all my water/refrigerant piping. It was actually the pipe itself which leaked! There was a pinhole at the end of the pipe itself which caused water to drip from the ceiling. I appreciate the feedback & you watching. Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos!

Used to work on big boilers and missed oldy days. After using hole saw how about using the file to debur the edges. Regarding hole saw usage the I use to put few drops of soapy water just to take out the heat and save the tooth of hole saw. I used vitolic fitting on a condensate pipe under the floor on a steam system boiler. I was wondering where exactly was the leak on the pipe also I think it was easy to slide couple of pieces of insulation onto the pipe if possible while sliding the pipes into the ceiling.

Not bad. Just alittle FYI for future reference, victaulic requires grease on those couplings and mechanical tees. Luckily you didn’t have a leak. I work with grooved pipe damn near everyday as a sprinklerfitter doing service.

@@JumpermanTech Tell me about it ! Back when I worked as a helper in the field we did a building on 5th Avenue in the 80s and let me tell you SCARY ! the chilled water riser were still from the 1960s ! That was a scary job because we had to install new fan coil units and tie in to the old riser.
