Thank you for making the video. I was able to swap the seal in 5 minutes. The size is available at Home Depot for $5.99. No leak for last 1 hour and hoping this issue is resolved. In my case I noticed that seal was damaged in some sections so cleaning would have not helped.

The upper section can be removed without the screwdriver - just twist it so the tabs (what was pushed with the screwdriver) are over the stop lines, that pushes the tabs out and you can just pull up easily.

Thanks that helped me remove it very easily. Interesting enough I think the cause of my running toilet was that the actual thing you press had loosened and I finally noticed that one was down farther than the other. I'm guessing when I have the lid on it was depressing the valve. Hopefully that's it.

@@RobertSmith-yo3jw Great suggestion. My seal was completely clean and noticed the rod you mentioned had loosened and was extending too far causing the leak. Problem solved.

Is this the same part that needs replaced for slow refill and hardly any water fills back up into the toilet bowl itself. Please advise.

I don’t know exactly. I didn’t have that specific problem with mine but I could guess that the slow refill may have to do with leakage as well. It’s worth a try, make sure to be gentle with the parts if you can’t get new replacements easily. Good luck.
