@James Riordan. Thanks James. That’s one of my favorite places, can’t get enough. Every time I go there it’s just incredible. Three Husky’s in a row would look pretty cool !!

HAHA my brother in law is a cowboy up there. I've paddled out on that lake and thought man this would be really fun to fly down this canyon!

@KCAB Squadron. Really!! How cool, small world. We’ll, you’re absolutely right. We’ve gone out there in our Rockets and flown back and forth through those canyons. We’d do it more, but, being private land we don’t want to ruin it for next time. I’ll post a video of us flying Rockets and RV’s thru there soon. I saw them herding cattle out there a while back. Maybe your brother in law was there.

@QuadClub. Hi QuadClub, it’s an incredible place, should be a National Park. Too bad it’s private land, too bad I don’t own it! I’d love to have a summer cabin there!

You guys are having way too much fun! I just got my 360 camera. Can't wait to fabricate a mount and try it out! All my videos so far have been with a Gopro traditional camera, which has worked ok, but the 360 should be so much better.

@@WheelsInTheSky Wilco! I have a handful of videos with the old cameras already on my channel. Feel free to check them out. Mostly aerobatics, and formation flying and just goofing off landing in the desert, etc.

@Shannon Nickoloff. Hi Shannon, glad to hear from you! Any skills I may have once had, are now quite mediocre I’m sure. But, I am lucky to have some airplanes and some friends to play with. So glad you to have you onboard. Was it about ‘74, the first time we flew??
@shannonnickoloff61382 жыл бұрын
@@WheelsInTheSky yes it was around 74.... That ride scared the crap out of me...but not because I didn't trust you as a pilot.... But because I used to be scared of flying in general....did you ever contact my bro? Curious if he ever got back to you....I'd say you still have many skills for flying, camera work and teaching your flying and plane info..... 💜

@Shannon Nickoloff. Hey Shannon, yes, I finally talked to him. Just a week or two ago. Glad I called him, it was nice to catch up with an old friend. I think I’ll check in with him every once in awhile.

Great stick and rudder skills!! Thank you for showing us "Castle Rock". Would you feel comfortable to land/TO with the 185 in that grassy meadow? Blue skies!!
@WheelsInTheSky2 жыл бұрын
@Jesse Splan. Hi Jesse, you have your 185 at SkyPark by any chance. Yes, I’d land my 185 there. It has 850’s on it. I landed my Husky there with 850’s when the grass was short. I’ve got 29’s on it now and I love them, makes landings smoother. I wish that was BLM land out there, but it’s private, so I only land there when I’m with Jon-he has the permission.

@Jesse Splan. Oh yes, I knew your name was familiar. I checked your hanger several times after we last talked. But never saw you there, then forgot. Good to hear from you. I’ll eventually catch up to you. Hope your plane is done soon.

@@WheelsInTheSky Would love to know your settings.
@WheelsInTheSky2 жыл бұрын
@VansAircraftBuilders.Com. I don’t do anything special, just use the factory settings and make sure the exposure is set to auto. The only time I’ve had trouble is when some how I touch the screen when mounting the camera and accidentally set the exposure to manual. That never use to happen, but recently it’s happened several times. When I first started I bought both the Insta and a GoPro max. Not that GoPro is bad, it’s just that Insta is a newer camera. GoPro hasn’t updated their Max. When they do, I may try them again. I have to admit, when I tested the Max, it was a very bumpy day. The Max’s stabilization and stitching didn’t compare very well to the Insta. I’m glad to help anyway I can. I’m pretty new at all this myself.
