You should make the base of the river wide enough for a fountain so every beaver gets it when they go to sleep for maximum happiness. A happy beaver is a productive beaver.

You could extent the extra bits and maybe add some mud baths, turn that whole floor into a beaver spa, you allready have the spa pools

You already did the pumps with the bad water! come on! You could even have the pools go dry in the drought. what's your surplus in a 30 day drought plus new evaporation?
