Yes I find these very helpful I have been practicing with the liner brush and doing the linear details. I have been painting tons of leaves. To the point my family will ask if I'm painting leaves again. I practice them when I can't think of anything to paint.😊

Beautiful! I love this style so I'm not super interested in realistic painting tutorials but I always learn from you so thanks! I can't wait to get your palette and I'm jazzed about peony videos coming this weekend. I'm struggling with doing flower arrangements, would love to paint something in a vase. I find these very helpful...i watch through once then try pause and paint along...save aa a reference. I love that you focus on brush control (positions and how to hold). I'm having the best time. Creating these charts are really helpful. Not only are they great for learning and practicing but this is going to be a wonderful future reference for me. I had an idea for a chart. What if you made one for your brushes? Each row would represent a brush and you could show us some basic strokes in the row? Maybe the last column could be a finished lil painting, like a flower? My bad if you've already done this, I haven't seen anything like this but you have a ton of vids! I'm always finding new gems. :)

Foxglove / digitalis. Love your peonies mine are almost gone. Terrible season so far where I live, we have an infestations of gypsy moths. They decimated all 10 of my rose bushes, some of which are my David Austin roses, when I look at my rose garden I see little green twigs sticking up only 2 bushes have buds that will flower after they ate all the leaves they came back and ate the buds. So bummed looks like I will not have a good garden season this year, so made me happy to see yours.

Nice. When you go offscreen & wet your brush, do you drag it across the rim of your water vessel to remove some water, or dab it onto a paper towel, or leave it really wet, or do something else? Thank you

I like seeing the versatility and different looks you can achieve using the different brushes to paint the same thing. So yes, I like these kinds of videos. You make "loosy goosy" painting look so easy, however that style doesn't come natural to me and I find it hard to do. I'm still trying to find my "groove" or style. I'm stuck In a realism rut and find it hard to paint "imagery".

Paint one thing, over and over but limit yourself on time, so for example paint 50, 3 second leaves and see how interesting you can make each one with only 3 seconds to do it!
