I am Annabellee Cobalt and I love to watch you paint. I am learning watercolor but have a 70+ year history in oils some 30 or so in acrylics. You are such a wonderful teacher . Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am homebound due to Systemic Lupus attacking the air sacs in my lungs. I am on 10 liters of oxygen and tied to machine so painting keeps me happy even in the worse times.

This is so beautiful. Any tips to make the flat brush more firm so it can lift? I mold it like you show in the video but the bristles are all over the place and don’t lift at all.

Amity, it takes more time to stretch and massage the brush hairs, and make sure you do that with water. Be more patient. I have been using those brushes for 20 years, and every time when I start using a new brush, I will need to do the preparation.
