Your work is lovely, and gives me ideas. My grand niece is an Aqua Biologist and sent me pamphlets of pictures of aqua weeds that are beautiful and I love to sketch them. Thank so much,. Happy painting.🎨

Hello, I love this one too! I have watercolor paints, and a few similar supplies. I'm going to try to make one like you did here. I love watercolors and I love how you use them! I hope you will continue to make stuff like this. Stuff we can actually try to recreate, with supplies most people can afford. I will be using colored pencils for some of it. I don't have everything, but certainly enough. Your channel has grown so quickly! Good job, and 🎉🎉🎉. Thank you 😊

Hi there! Have fun painting! Always use the art supplies you have on hand unless you absolutely neeeed something because your heart is pining for it. You can be so creative by stepping out of the box and using supplies in front of you. Just ask yourself, what can I do with these. I find the answer is...A LOT! 😀

You are so welcome! That was such a kind comment to leave. I love to paint in watercolor in a forgiving way and showing others how to do the same is such a lovely bonus!! Feel free to subscribe to my channel, as I am making new videos similar to this one!

You can learn something from every video you watch. The simplest thing that you just taught me because I struggle with that sometimes is to put that piece of paper underneath your page. OMG that helps keep some of my runoff from the edges of the other papers. Thank you.

I’m so glad that tip helped you! It’s amazing how small adjustments can make a big difference. Keep experimenting, and you’ll keep discovering more!

How do you keep the paper flat, it all gets wobly with me and when I dry with dryer even more.
@JoanneGrant_Art2 ай бұрын
The heavier the paper the better. Make sure you are using watercolor paper and the weight is 140lb or above. Also, you can go around the edges of the paper and tape them down with painters tape. I go about 1/4 inch in but you can go as far in as you like. You can see in other videos I have taped down the edges. In this video, I was painting in my sketchbook, so the edges aren't taped down, but the paper is thick, so it didn't wrinkle as much. It did wrinkle some, but not too bad. In the video "Easy Flower Watercolor Doodles" I used a paper pad block by Arches. The edges are glued down to hold the paper flat and when you are done painting you use a palette knife to separate the painting from the paper block. With the block paper method and the painters tape method the paper may wrinkle a bit while wet but will go flat when dry. Hope that helps.
