I feel like I left out so much information by trying to keep the video short! Hopefully it all made sense! ♡ I've been thinking about doing a review of this watercolor palette soon since I've been using it for almost a full year now. Would anyone be interested in that?? Or do you have any other video suggestions?

Lol drew with ink and when I tried this everything turned black. I was so sad because I spent a long ass time just drawing too and everything got ruined. 😭 where did I go wrong
@M3lart4 жыл бұрын
Aw that's so sad :( My guess would be that the ink either wasn't waterproof or wasn't fully dry?
@mlpfilmstarfun28674 жыл бұрын
I tend to draw everything in pencil because I don't trust pen at all. then once I know it's completely dry I'll outline it in pen.

How to avoid the granulation? Because I really want to achieve a SMOOTH dark skin tone however whenever im using a brown watercolor it gives that annoying granulation effect that makes the skin look rough. Should I use a smoother paper? O choose other brown pigment? Please answer me T.T why yours has a smooth texture?? T.T
@M3lart4 жыл бұрын
I struggle with this too actually! I've heard granulation can vary with each color (even within the same brand) so yes maybe experiment with a different shades of brown or try a new brand for your brown. Doing fewer layers and moving the paint around as little as possible can help it look smoother, since dark colors show the texture of both the paper and the brush strokes so much easier. Sometimes when I erase my sketch with too much pressure it breaks the paper down and looks really rough when I added the paint - so be careful with your paper too! I can't say if a better quality paper would help or not because I've only ever used inexpensive paper, but if I had to guess I would think better paper would be very smooth to work with! I hope that helps ♡

I’am so frustrated by this. I watched this movie over a hundred times now and my paintings still look awful. The colors are blending into eachother (even tough I take the time to let them dry or use a blowdryer). And the lines I paint for the dark parts and the light parts are simply ugly and spotty. And I use paint of good quality, but it’s still a piece of sh**. It is so ugly again and again. Somebody advice for me? Every time this happens my motivation for watercolor is completely gone, even tough I really like the medium…
