Niaz, this is lovely and your piece shows the power of selective minimalism which works particularly well with thumbnail painting. You have pulled most of the stops in your performance; small painting, limited palate, simplified subject matter and loose technique. Just lovely.

Hi Niaz, looks amazing. Just a question, we were taught elsewhere not to brush over the same colour while the paper is wet to avoid the cauliflower effect. How come you got away with that when colouring the sky?

This is probably a tenderfoot question. What's the difference between neutral tint and plain old black?

Neutral tint mixes well with any color to create darker version of that color (used for shadows) on the other hand Black is a little too dark for that purpose

Colors in the box are lavender, any kind of gray, new gamboge, viridian, mayan orange, some kinda red, white, sepia. Honestly doesn’t matter what am using..you just need to see what you like and stuff it in
