Really impressive job. And a serious thank you for offering artists the opportunity to get more personal with this medium.

Your the only artist who makes his pigments and paints. Make oil paints. Forget about light fastness, your process is sound, if you use lightfast pigments then your paint will be lightfast. Also view ancient pigments Turner used, maybe you can make them as well. Maybe you can also write an extensive book on every pigment, the production of that pigment. I dont know of any such book out there.

If you look at several of his lake videos, he shows a book he uses just like that

Hello! Thanks for the video! It would be nice if we see the process of new pigments in oil paint, good luck friend!

Do you think of synthesizing another red pigment like pyrrole red (pr254) or napthol red (pr170)? Also, are you going to continue on cadmium series? Cadmium orange and reds?

I have been working away at Cadmium Red but haven't got it to work yet but I am close. The organic pigments like napthol are above my current skill as a chemist but as time goes on I may try them.

Will you make the wooden palette boxes for sale? Just the box?
@TheAlchemicalArts4 жыл бұрын
Given how long they take me to make I think at this stage I will be just using them in the watercolour sets, how ever if you send an email to thealchemicalarts@gmail.com I am sure I can work something out.
