Thanks DeeJay! I think I'd better stop with the salt now! I wish I had the patience to work more in coloured pencils as I love how they turn out- bet yours was great 😊

Wow! Amazing! I only wish we could see it in real time, that would be great, as it shows better the how to's. Thank you so much for this wonderful parrot. Colors are incredible.

Thanks so much Christine! I think people might find the real time video a bit long and repetitive as it took me about 3 hours to complete?! I sometimes wonder whether people would rather see a real time painting split into several parts or just have the whole thing sped up to make it a bit easier to watch? I try and pick out the bits of the footage that illustrate what I'm trying to say the best but its tricky to get the balance right! 🐦😊

Fantastic! You really nailed those bright saturated colors without turning them chalky or dull. Im not great at negative painting. in fact i generally avoid it. I have found It's not easy to flip back and forth like that. But those feathers are wonderful because of it. Well done! Do you buy the schminke paints in pan form? Or do you buy the tubes and pour your pans? Just curious. I have sennelier pans and Daniel smith tubes, but that schminke cobalt was very nice...

Thank you Heather! I bought the paints in pans a while back but I think when these run out I'll buy them in tubes and fill the pans up from them instead - do you prefer pans or tubes? 😊

@@SarahNewburyArt well i find that pans last me longer and are less messy to deal with. i get good payout with smaller amounts... but i like tubes for mixing washes and it's also nice to have a few small blobs on a ceramic plate and not be bothered with such a large selection. It's nice to have a separate set up for different projects. i tend to have about 3 things in progress but don't like getting my pallets mixed so plates are nice. but i really dislike the messy caps and oozing tubes that can happen... I've never been able to choose. 🤔
