Hello, nice to see you back. It's sort of a down time to become inspired with plants coming inside and adjusted care for them! Expecting frost tonight, so the last few plants just pulled in and now the process of checking them over. My one and only pepperomia is a jelly. Rescued from Lowes, she's pretty beat up but new leaves emerging and I have hope she will recover fully.

We all get busy and go through phases of feeling uninspired, I think it's normal. 😊 Your Peperomia is gorgeous! Hello :) I’ve had two of these plants and both times I watered when bone dry (about 2 weeks after the previous watering) and then the leaves became like paper and the roots rotted. I have some living propagated leaves but the main plants never live. Any idea why? Paper thin leaves suggest under watered and rotten roots suggest over..! Thanks 🙂

I got this baby abouth month ago... I got just one leaf with roots in a soil... From then plant is the same.. I mean there is no new leaves or anything... Is this normal? Is this plant slow grower?
@nirvana4life665 жыл бұрын
It may take a while depending how it was propogated. But it's been a month you said, so you should start seeing new growth in the next month or so. Plus, with the season it is, growing may take longer.
@julienicole925 жыл бұрын
So I have propagated from leaf cutting, and it did take a while for me to see any baby leaves. Just stay patient and it will happen! It might even take months depending on the time of year where you live

I know this is an older video but hopefully you see this comment! I have just 'rescued' a watermelon peperomia from my local supermarket. He was shoved into a cover pot that was far too tall, so a lot of his leaves have broken and split. His stems are also quite short so the older leaves are very tightly packed (some are curling), but there are a lot of new leaves growing underneath. Do you have any recommendations at all to help? Im newish to plants so Im a bit nervous about how best to help him out!

The one I have.is about five years old. It has a branch that has a lot of leaves two feet tall. The branch is about 18 inches long with leaves at the end. It's carved and I don't know what to do with the branch that has the leaves is almost a inch around and carved how do I transplant it. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you, Judy

Julie Nicole It’s getting colder here in NYC and it’ll be my first winter with houseplants so I’m a little apprehensive about leaving mine by the window. However, then again there’s the issue of the plant not getting enough light. I’ll try it out and see how the plants respond. Thanks so much!

@@julienicole92 It won't lose variegation right ? heard some plants lose it due to little light, but if heard this one can lose it because of to much light.
@julienicole924 жыл бұрын
So I leave mine on top of my fridge, it gets just bright indirect light and grows fine. My friend has one and it gets morning sun and hers grows great. We live in the north east of the USA so the sun isn't strong here. If you live somewhere with really strong sun your conditions are different than ours, so you may need to move it around if you notice the sun is too strong.

Hey! I recently moved and my watermelon peppermonia isnt doing as good as it used to! It was very happy in the old house, was sat far back in a room that got southern sun exposure. Now in the new house it sits in a western facing room and isnt nearly as happy. Some of the leaves are still nice and stiff standing proud but others are hanging lower and a little limp. Not sure whats happening here, any suggestions? It is in a pot with no drainage hole but a drainage layer of rocks, I am going to move it to a pot with drainage and hope it helps but if you have any other ideas Im all ears!
