Your stuff is so clean , I wish you were in Mi. I’m trying to wire up my sons new side by side and it’s not going smooth. We have a 2017. I nailed it the 2024 I’m just drawing blanks on the rocker switch’s , yours are so clean

I used the same Bussmen fuse/ relay box in my side by side. The wire connections are all weatherpak connects, it was super easy to wire up and makes for a very clean install. If you want to wire your own you can get these boxes for less then $30.

I have the Bussman relay box 15303-5 - a number of switches send a ground signal to activate the relay (vs a + trigger) - is there a way to trigger the a / or some relays (pin 86) on the 15303-5 using a ground signal ?

Thanks for the video. Question: What do you do for the grounds for the lights? And what do you do with the grounds for the switches? Diagram looks like only power is going to either from the fuse box, so just wondering how you handled the ground in each case. Thanks.

How much wire did you have to add to get to switches for the center of dash? Also was the length of the battery cable long enough stock or did you have him add wire to be able to get to same area under hood? I read your review and think you did a great job! Got that Jeep looking good!
@o3djeeps9 жыл бұрын
+James Rickett Thanks! I asked him to make mine 10ft. and that was just about perfect to get to the switches from where I have mine mounted. I ended up cutting off less than I foot if I recall correctly. The battery cable was just fine but I had it 10ft too. Best thing to do is figure out where you want to mount it, and measure your estimated run to the battery.

@skaggsmedia7 жыл бұрын
josh klein did you ever hear from Chris on this? I have the same question. I'm guessing you ground the negative wires on the accessories to the body but not sure.
@joshklein7 жыл бұрын
Never heard. Maybe soon...?
@kylevanwinkle20817 жыл бұрын
Just ground to the frame or bare metal or the body, or a factory ground bolt
@MichaelCook19815 жыл бұрын
You can ground to the chassis or if you really wanted to run wire, to the battery.

I have a 2016 Rubicon and I used the power window switch harness and it was the skinny orange wire to the power window switches. This wire can be easily reached from either right or left sides.

Can't seem to get a message to you. Messenger not working. Looking for one to fit under the hood of a keep renegade. Have you done one yet for these? Not sure where it would fit.

Do you get any parasitic drain on your battery by having all your switches (which I assume are illuminated) hooked to the 12v constant?
@o3djeeps7 жыл бұрын
Den Bradshaw none of my switches are illuminated when the Jeep is off. The LEDs are fed by the dimmer circuit and the switched power.. which of course is off when the switch is off.

How did you wire the ground wires from your accessories?
@kylevanwinkle20817 жыл бұрын
knightryderbelow ground to the frame, bare metal on the body, or a factory ground bolt. Ground in a car simply means the chassis. If you wanted you could also run all the way back to the battery negative but that's a lot of wasted wire
@knightryderbelow7 жыл бұрын
Kyle Vanwinkle I have multiple accessories to ground what about a bus bar? Would that be overkill? Makes sense about not wasting a bunch a wire, just wanna do it as professional as possible with out any future problems. Tell me what you think?
@kylevanwinkle20817 жыл бұрын
knightryderbelow you can use a bus bar but grounding to the chassis will work just as well and save wire. Looking professional is more about using wire loom and proper wire routing and termination

Most goods are hand assembled. Some in China, some in Taiwan, but probably not in Maryland, if it says "Mexico"...
@o3djeeps8 жыл бұрын
+DJH com well... Tell that to my friend who makes them... Spending hour after hour crimping and cutting --- making these things -- in Maryland, where he lives. Of course he buys the components - which are probably not made in Maryland, in order to build these for you to buy so you don't have to make them on your own.
@Reparaturkanal8 жыл бұрын
Ah, I understand. I expected that the person making these is making all of the components, except possibly the wires. Therefore the Mexico sticker brought some confusion. But yours is the best wiring video I've seen so far.
