I mean it's only 20 bucks haha..? That's 2 hours of work at minimum If you're a kid, I guess that makes more sense but even then, a few bucks allowance or an odd job for a neighbor, there you go. I mean, i torrented 1000s of terabytes of cracked PC games in those days, before I had a job.. download, mount, install, copy/paste crack, and boom, bob's your uncle, you're playing. But still, it's super cheap and better to support developers like this. There's like many ways to get it bud :P If you're like 11 years old, then I apologise for contributing to your delinquency, purchase it :P

I gotta give a big shoutout to the insulated tile because Brothgar uses them in almost every part of his base and I use them to prevent heat from a volcano getting into my base. Literally 1 layer of insulated sandstone keeps my base from being an inferno. Without a doubt #1 most useful tile in all of ONI.

If you have something you neeeed done - use ! Priority (yellow alert) instead of 9. It basically is a super priority higher than 9, and it doesn’t interrupt care things like needing oxygen or sleeping. It turns itself off when completed (unlike red alert). It also bypasses task priority settings. Basically the first available free dupe gets assigned to it. I find when my base gets larger I need it to get anything done. (Also thanks for trying to fix the base melting with tempshifts. That was my idea. I didn’t expect you to let even more heat out though!)

I personally recommend putting air flow tiles on the flanking sides rather than the center, but thats just me i think it looks better. at least the slicksters are happy

brothgar, for your volcano, put a metal block directly above the door. Now it will pull heat out on both sides! I can't see why this wouldn't work well except for the excruciating heats with working on it!

PIP is known to ransack the storage bin and make them disappear, at least in my current colony that is. You can drop the seed on the ground and they can either self plant or any nearby pip will then take it and plant it, randomly in any natural tile.

Yesterday, i building my new base with new biome from the new asteroid the problem is i didnt get used too new thing, like i didnt have old algae oxygen generator stuff to generate oxygen. -need oxyfern which is generate low amount of oxygen, -using rust to generate oxygen will overwhelm by chlorine if i dont solve it efficiently. -the food problem, which hard to farm it domestically,(recently added more requirement for waterweed) i guess my massive waterweed farm is useless now, its time to eat mushfry and liceloaf. hope my dupes didnt get food poisoning XD. -its limit me to have more dupes early on thanks for new vids Brothgar, i hope you make a preview or tutorial with the new's stuff we got, and compare it with old method commonly we're all knew, and what approach we should do first early on, after official launch live...

Ok the temp shift idea was assuming you never opened the door again. You keep doing it lol. Now you need to run a passive cooling past it, like sending polluted water past before you sieve it. I do something like this with my potable water, I cool it with ice and send it in a loop around my living areas and bridge it to plants when they need more. I don’t even use radiant pipes just normal ones except in critical heat spots. It’s too hot there to do a true loop there with sensors but every time polluted water goes bay you lower the temp, and you should be able to bring it down to a manageable 40 degrees.

Make a tree farm and turn wood into ethanol. Run ethanol through a petroleum generator, you get enough power per tree to power 1 ethanol refinery. The polluted water you get from the petroleum gen can be used to water the plants.

About overpressure limits, just theorycrafting here but it should be equivalent to what the geyser outputs. Note your steam geyser outputs about 5kg/s water, so more than 5kg was enough to overpressure it. Your volcano outputs something like 206Kg/s so I would imagine it should overpressure at that point as well. I wonder if it takes the volcano a few seconds to detect whether or not its overpressure, during which you paused and changed the pressure enough times to give a false result, when it should've been fine at around 200Kg pressure

Does food spoil when stored in below zero chlorine? my thinking is that 1 tile wide 6 tiles tall "fridge" could store an unending amount of food. top to bottom would be a rail vent, sweeping arm, conveyor loader. all in really cold chlorine. you could set up one of these columns for each ingredient/food you have and make a small accessible fridge where the dups can access it. it might skew the numbers of how much you have available but at least you don't end up with over half the map filled with fridges

@brothgar PLEASE make a video on how to survive in the new forest biome. I have 800h in the game but haven't figured out a way yet. The oxyfern is at 7.8 grams of oxygen and even if domesticated you need 4 / dupe to theoretically "survive". Forest biome has no algae in it and is the starting area. Also the beginners tip says "You have NOT built any Oxygen diffusers" :D

wow you said you were turning that into a heat battery, and you werent kidding, I cant imagine the amount of jules youd be able to store in that, if its possible to run a loop through that you could easily run a 2nd turbine. 175kg per tile of ethanol will store more heat than one steam engine can use I think

The rock randomly appearing in your volcano happens on one of my weezes randomly, it suddenly gets entombed by a chunk of copper occasionally, but it's just in front of some radiant pipes coming from my electrolyzer oxygen, it makes no sense

brothgar, it might just be me but... i think you don't play enough with the schedules and the priorities.... like if i were you, i'd make special schzdules with special priorities depending not on dupes/super-dupes, but on their job. -like take away from the cook his priorities for digging,building and ressearching so he can focus on cooking. give him downtime by small packs, like 1 time in the morning, 1 time in miday and 1 time before bedtime. -make your buimders have more build and deliver centered scheldules and priorities. and do this for each job, that way your dupes would be both more efficient and more focused on their tasks. also would reduce the travel time since dupes don't do pointless travels for stuff that aren't their jobs.....

What if Heaven. Use the debug mode to make the most comfortable, reliable, automated base you possibly can. Endeavor to make the dupes do the least amount of work possible. Edit or spawn vents, geysers, and volcanoes as you want them. And every blank number of cycles add 5 dupes.
