Its a shame we cant see the person painted for most of the painting!!!! It makes the video of little value.

+TheTroubadour1 what do you mean the video is of little value? in what way?
@TheTroubadour19 жыл бұрын
I loved the video to a point. Was that a real person or a creation of the artists imagination? It is helpful to see the photo used or to see the living model to explain how the artist translated reality into Art. Tell me where I'm wrong, please.
@wolfumz9 жыл бұрын
TheTroubadour1 It's done from a live model, you can see her at 13:40 standing next to the artists. I take a lot of value watching the process, being entertained by their skill. I guess the video has little value if you want to paint the model yourself.
@wolfumz9 жыл бұрын
+TheTroubadour1 you can also see the model stretch and move around a bit when they take a break at 3:30 and again at 10:15 . The painters certainly did some interpretation and idealization, but did so within the boundaries of the model's unique likeness/features. I don't see why showing the model is a necessity for this video. We probably have different criteria for what is "of value."

Educational Value for students wished to see how a human is translated into art... Color Values, shades and tones of the subject translated into art.... And then there is the issue of Likeness. Does the picture successfully capture the external and internal soul of the subject....These are the Artistic Values up an coming students of all levels need.... otherwise, in my opinion, is a nice entertainment...Hey but thank you for helping me define "Value'
