Shadowhawk and Wolverine were out several years ago. Uziel comes a little later in the timeline so that has to wait. However IWM has the Uziel using the MW4 cinematic model so it can't get too much better than that.

What boxes do you think warrant buying multiples of? Curious which mechs all houses and clans make use of... or is that litteraly every mech? I'm just getting into battletech and usually I like to play everything and like to paint different color schemes. For instance if every house throughout the years made use of the jenner then im probably gonna buy 6 or so of those inner sphere force boxes. Night Gyr might not look like much, but it and the Nova Cat share the title of pocket assaults. Both are only 4/6 movement but have extreme fire power. I've wiped the floor with fast assaults with the Gyr also thanks to its surfaces you can do some cool stuff with painting with it. Also with the ad hauk star no mech scares me more facing it than the Kodiak. Between the Mechwarrior 2 Ghost bear opening and just the extreme fire power of it its the only mech at close range a TSM Berserker will loose more often than it will win. Also can't wait for mine to come, hopefully next week.

Did you ever decide which was your favourite of the new sculpts? I don't have them all but my favourite is the Atlas. It's just the best version I've ever seen of that mech. The proportions are simply perfect and the head is amazing whereas it can sometimes look a bit goofy on other versions. Also what is wrong with the Jenner? I like its pose where it's turning to the left.

These are currently for Kickstarter backers. It is expected that they will slowly appear in retail during end of 2021 and in 2022. This is based on how they did Wave 1 packs (release 1xlance and 1xstar per month). Please be patient with CGL as they are nowhere near GW regarding personel. They are constantly working on reprints when something starts running out but due shipping issues the restocking happens slower.

I've been watching and enjoying your videos since the first lockdown and am interested in trying out Battletech again for the first time since the mid 90's but am finding the plethora of rulebooks, supplements and starters a bit perplexing. What would you guys recommend for a good place to start and expand onto? I'm interested in both classic Battletech and Alpha Strike and both using hex sheets and actual tabletop as well as both mech v mech and combined arms types of games. With the influx of new gamers that are showing interest in the game it would be really handy to have a breakdown of where to start and the strengths of each different style of playing depending on the sort of gaming experience you want.

For a simpler start I would say grab the Alpha Strike Commander’s Edition! Great game, lets you field tons of minis easily, and is “rules light”. Fantastic rule set if you want my opinion! 🙂 If you are interested in the Destiny stuff, since that is a bit of a hacked system, there are some more rulebooks you’d need there.

I watched the CGL meeting on Saturday, and they ruled it out, unfortunately. There was a lot of speculation given the surprise inclusion of the Shilone fighter, but they very specifically said they wouldn't be taking the KickStarter in that direction.

@@dominicoliver7505 Yeah, I saw that too. Based on the response online, though, I have to believe they're at least open to eventually including some units in future KS that aren't mechs. There are a lot of people asking for it for sure.

@@rburt3 Yeah, I'd love a Combined Arms Kickstarter next, just a nice healthy mix of the classic tanks, VTOLs, aircraft etc. I don't play Aerotech personally (and I don't think many people do from what I've seen online), but I'd appreciate the option of tanks and air support on a traditional battlefield. I'd also really like to see the rules from Total Warfare boiled down for air combat, as it's a bit of a nightmare to understand in its current format. It could really do with simplifying for new players to the game.

@@dominicoliver7505 For sure. I think the BSP air support rules in the BMM(?) are cool but maybe a middle ground similar to Alpha Strike or BT:Destiny would work for TW?

God willing...I've been like an alcoholic without a drink of sweet sweet BattleTech plastic for far too long now... It might take some time though via CGL, as I'd guess they will be bringing most of the plastic to Gen Con in mid-September, but whatever is left will no doubt get posted on the website. Guessing independent stores will be the best place in the short run. I'm also sure folk will start to sell off excess Lance and Star packs on eBay over the coming weeks as well, so I'll see you ion there n the bidding wars :P

From what I understand the claws on the Kodiak are not functional but ceremonial/ornamental. Kind of a bummer, looks great but useless, kind of like the wing on the old Lamborghini countach
