I've been skateboarding my entire life I'm 29 now and starting to get into skimboarding it's way more chill when you fall and you can do all kinds of skateboarding tricks on a skimboard but still working on the mongo push that all pro skimmers seem to do when getting on their boards. (Learning to run drop and slide was one of the biggest challenges for me)

A wave broke on top of me once and I landed on the sand and on my neck. I was just out boogie boarding for fun but remembered my mom telling me to get up and that I was fine so I did and my vision blurred and I collapsed. Next thing I know I'm surrounded by lifeguards in a stretcher and my mom goes "huh maybe he wasn't okay" 😂. Thankfully after a short trip to the hospital they concluded I had no major damage to my vertebrae and I was free to go. The doctor said I was really lucky. It is insane that these dudes go out there with that much confidence and are willing to get slammed into the beach. Much braver than I am now 👌

lol no I don't think most wood ones would hold up haha. Usually fiberglass and i've seen some carbon fiber ones.
