I have a little tip for your washing routine☺️ Wash your hair with warm water and rinse it with cold water at the end. Rinsing your hair with cold water after washing helps seal the cuticles, enhancing shine and reducing frizz. It also preserves moisture, promoting healthier hair growth by stimulating circulation to the scalp

This was really helpful. Im early 20s and Asian and my mother is an incredibly lazy person who never cared for my hair and saw it as a burden so I've never learnt how to manage it (she would literally let it be frizzy in a ponytail or put it in a plait because she cba). I'm going to try some of these products and hope for the best but the people who try and gatekeep hair are so weird... like. literally 99% of people have a curl pattern and its rare to have completely 1a hair. If your hair frizzes even slightly but is still quite straight, you have waves that just need a little bit of help to be more defined
@Lizziebear2411 Жыл бұрын
I wish I would’ve seen this back when I started in January and I’ve come so far I personally have perfected my routine to what works for me my curl pattern is personally tighter than yours but that’s literally what I used to do when I had a looser pattern and it worked WONDERS so I would definitely recommend this for the people with a similar curl pattern

Your hair is gorgeous, no matter that it's changed texture. Oh and I love the tips on the products - layering products does SO help with hold. I would add a note for those with thick, coarse hair: you might need to add more product; I add gel in sections or end up with puffy, undefined areas (if you're worried about excess product, micro plopping gently afterwards with a tee picks up most of the excess while encouraging waves). And I agree that your method of diffusing encourages volume but for me, it also creates too much frizz. I diffuse to 80% dry without touching my hair (no hands OR dryer) and only at the end do I gently cup the hair with the diffuser. Love that you acknowledge that this is your routine, for your hair - it's taken me a while to realize that I needed to experiment and modify for my own.
