Waxed Sand 2

great job on the sand and i can see where upping the amount of wax would help ,i thought about making a tumbler or making one out of an old treadmill to use making waxed dirt . this last season our sets stayed flooded ,even tried zaggers pipe dream sets to try and keep sets working, now we have fox pens wanting fox and coyotes for competition hunts ,ill probably hit the k9 sets this season for live market trapping .way better money with no fur put up .

I just use a mixer with 150lbs sand heat sand to 150f shut off heat add 10lbs wax and let it mix for about an hour dump straight into a tub with no lumps done

I am trying it your way today can't wait to see how it goes. I no you said in the 1 video 4 cups of sand to one cup of wax and that was not the best do you think cup and half wax to 4 cup of sand is better?? Your thots would help me out thanks

I’m doing 5lbs wax to 50lbs sand. So 10:1 ratio.

Okay i will get more sand lol it was over 50 pounds when I got it but it was wet sand.. thanks for your time and help

tumbling it until it cools should help with the clumps. you don't want to let it go from hot to cool without continually working it.
