Hmmm,...I hear kind of a crappy overloaded signal type of distortion to this delay that I don’t hear in my original?
@AudioStorm19804 жыл бұрын
Probably not a true bypass
@toofusnook3 жыл бұрын
@@AudioStorm1980 “true bypass” vs “buffered” has nothing to do with the sound of a pedal “in use”.

There’s no crappy pedals just different sounding ones. It’s good enough for Kingfish and he’s got great tone.

Before the Bright, this was the analog go to if you didn't want the dark Carbon Copy repeats.Now MXR and WH (&Dunlop)are the same company, not sure the circuit has been more than just down sized.WH were ground breaking ,once upon a time..

given the name of this pedal.. I’m guessing a hard switch.

This or canyon?
@greatfelixo5 жыл бұрын
depends what you are after. This is a great sounding pedal but the canyon is definitely more fun and if you are the kind of guitarist who likes to get experimental and make some weird sounds then definitely get the canyon, if you are after something more classic then this but then again the canyon can do classic pretty nicely anyway. I'd vote canyon to be honest.
@Joebyron723 жыл бұрын
2:47 how is this done?
@savnac3 жыл бұрын
you probably learned how to do it now but it’s volume swelling. you play the notes with the volume knob at zero, and use your pinky to swell the volume up after the attack of your strum.
@sid35gb3 жыл бұрын
Volume swell can be also done with a volume pedal as well as the old school way with the guitar volume knob. Turn off the volume hit the note and then turn up the volume.

It's called a swell you just roll your volume up as you play a note with reverb/delay on.

Most of us use these bucket brigade units for fattening and adding movement to single notes. The effect was too exaggerated and didn't really help.

yeah, i know, Jeorge Tripps designed both but they're different...the only real similarity is they're analog. 300ms vs 600ms makes a big difference to the brightness of the repeats, CC has modulation, aqua puss doesn't.
@Jaysteenn6 жыл бұрын
I have both and this isn't as good as carbon copy. This is basically great for slapback but don't blend as well with overdrives. This is definitely a classic tho!

@@thepman28 I had a carbon copy and did not like it at all. It was a very weak sounding pedal. This delay pedal in the video sounds a million times better.
